During our honeymoon in the Maldives, we had the pleasure of staying at Como Cocoa Island Resort, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The island itself embodies tranquility and seclusion, making it an ideal destination for couples seeking privacy and a peaceful retreat. With its serene surroundings and limited number of guests, the atmosphere is perfect for those looking to unwind and enjoy each other's company in a secluded paradise. Our room was a haven of luxury and comfort. Impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, it exuded a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The attentive staff ensured that the room was cleaned twice a day, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout our stay. The service at Como Cocoa Island Resort was exceptional. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Each room was assigned a private butler who catered to our every need, from arranging romantic candlelit dinners to organizing unique experience tours, ensuring that every moment of our stay was tailored to perfection. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking sandbank, a picturesque spot that offered stunning views and a sense of serenity unlike any other. The resort's snorkeling opportunities were equally impressive, allowing us to witness a vibrant array of marine life, including beautiful species and even mesmerizing baby sharks within the resort's waters. For those seeking further adventure, guided tours beyond the resort's confines provided the chance to encounter a diverse range of fish and even majestic sea turtles. While the resort boasts only one restaurant, the culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. With a menu that changed daily and featured freshly cooked dishes, every meal was a delightful exploration of flavors and textures. The quality of the food was outstanding, reflecting a commitment to culinary excellence that truly impressed us. In conclusion, our time at Como Cocoa Island Resort was a dream come true. Like my review title indicates this was an experience of a lifetime. Diving in the Maldives had been on my bucket list. My wife and I spent nights at this resort. On arrival we were greeted with multiple staff members sporting smiles and coconut drinks for us. We cannot say one negative thing about our stay with COMO. The food was amazing with special meal preparations courtesy of Chef Ketut Dika. The restaurant manager, Dewa Hindra, was always there to greet us and make us feel welcome and cater to our every desire. Our villa butler, Ishmael, visited our villa twice a day and promptly kept all clean and tidy and always left us with abundant supplies of all that we needed. My divemaster, Sharkey, who is appropriately named, guided me on 11 dives and showed me the best of the reefs and marine wildlife that Cocoa Island had to offer. The dive boat was very comfortable and on all but except one of my dives I was the only customer/diver on the boat but there were four crew. Every other member of the resort staff were always friendly, helpful, and greeted us with a smile. COMO intentionally limits their guest list to promote guest satisfaction. This is not typical, certainly in the case of large hotel resorts. By the time we left we were totally spoiled. If you are planning a dive vacation or just a get away vacation this is the place to go.
