Foxhills Club & Resort

My partner and I booked a couples package/ birthday weekend away which included a room, one round of golf, and one spa treatment. In addition, I added a second golfer to the tee time for, reserved a golf buggy, and booked an extra spa treatment. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly impacted our experience. 1. Golf Course and Buggy Issues Upon arrival, we were not informed that the golf course was partially closed. As a result, we were only able to play 15 holes instead of the full 18. We were not made aware of this limitation at the time of booking or when checking in at the pro shop; we only discovered this upon reaching the first tee. Despite being charged full price for two rounds of golf, we were unable to enjoy the complete course despite being charged full price. Additionally, the buggy we reserved was not in working condition and was unusable. After being denied a buggy that I had reserved in advance. 2. Room Condition This stay was intended to be a romantic getaway, as it was advertised on the website. However, upon reaching our room, we were greeted with scaffolding covering the entire building. Additionally, there were multiple issues with the room itself: * The lights were not functioning properly (see attached photos). * The "double bed" was actually two single beds pushed together, which was not ideal for a romantic experience. Due to the gap between the two mattresses, we were basically sleeping in two separate beds, not to mention falling through the middle throughout the night. * The shower pressure was inadequate, the handles were broken, and no body soap was provided. I even selected a more expensive room to ensure the quality of our stay aiming for it to be romantic experience. Given these conditions, the room did not meet the standard expected for the price paid. 3. Dinner and Breakfast Experience We had a dinner reservation for 8 pm. Despite arriving on time, we were asked to wait in the bar area for 30 minutes without being served any drinks or attended to. During dinner, we both ordered steaks. My partners were satisfactory, but mine had a large clump of fat in the centre, which was disappointing (see attached photo). While breakfast was generally fine, I was surprised to find that, despite being advertised as "breakfast included," there was an additional charge for any coffee beyond the standard filtered coffee. This seems misleading and not in line with the advertised inclusions. 4. Check-Out Experience I raised these all the issues with the receptionist upon check-out. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology for the inconveniences, and while she mentioned that a 20% discount would be applied to our tee times, this was not reflected on my final bill. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the quality of service and experience, especially considering that the total cost of our stay was nearly £1,000 including meals. Had an amazing time, when we arrived the reception team were very friendly, thank you Renato. We played tennis, went in the spa, had great food in bar 19, then had amazing cocktails in the manor. Breakfast in the Fox was excellent quality, the bedroom was so comfortable, we will definitely be back! To top it all my car was cleaned Thanks Foxhills! 5 stars

Really lovely venue. Wonderful grounds and location. Food was very good, lots of choice and great service overall. Particular mention to Liberty (reception) and Jen (spa) who went the extra mile to make our stay special. We felt that the facilities and fitness classes did prioritise golfers and members over hotel guests, meaning we were unable to book any classes during our stay and limited spa appointments. However the spa and treatments we did have were high quality with good products. Overall would recommend as a great place to get away and catch up with your best friend!

We visited Foxhills yesterday for a champagne afternoon tea to celebrate a dear friend’s graduation. All the staff went out of their way to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. I would like to specifically mention Vishnu who took many photos for us whilst also doing his own work and for also going out of his way to come out into the gardens to take more photos for us there. It was much appreciated and we now all have lovely photos of a great occasion. I would like to let Renato , who is the manager there that his staff are a credit to him and to say a huge thank you from us all .

Foxhill is great for families, especially for children 4-11yrs. There is a Kids Club that runs from 09-12 and its great fun and parents can get some solo time. Pavillion has indoor and outdoor swimming pool, games room, adventure playground, football posts. The cafe on site, Flo, is lovely with nice staff, Liliana and the older chap serving (sorry forgot his name) were so attentive, excellent Nutella milkshake! Restaurants XIX wasn't too impressive, busy, struggled with staff, pasta was not tasty, go for burgers! Breakfast was very nice, Florentina made us very welcome. Lovely ambient. Room was very spacious, a bit outdated, no vanity kits (not great when you forget some essential toiletries), beds could be comfier but linen very cosy. Very clean! Health Spa - very nice and again, very clean! Great gym, great pool, showers.... fantastic. Staff friendly. Only thing I noticed is that place comes across as they are lacking a bit of security. We left our keys in the room, so went to get one from Reception and lady there just hand us another key without even checking the surname or anything. It feels like you could come to the parking, walk in, and start using the facilities, as no additional checks to use Pavillion or Health Spa, if you forget the card, they just let you in. Overall, as it's so spacious and great for kids, with Pavillion and Health Club being so nice, we would come back again.

Everyone who was involved in our wedding at Foxhills was brilliant. Cheyenne, the wedding co ordinator was so great to work with, very experienced and such a lovely energy. The team involved in the service overall were amazing. From Louis greeting me and all our guests at the front door to Alan and his team with us in the Orangery through out the evening. Our toastmaster Nigel was so lovely and a brilliant personality to have guide us through the evening. Our vendors were recommended by Foxhills and did not fail to deliver. The photographer, the florist and the cake designer all worked in harmony with everyone at the venue to create a beautiful day and lots of special memories.
