What a fabulous place to rest quietly in beautiful surroundings. It is in the middle of nowhere or everywhere depending whether you are glass half-full or half-empty . The food is remarkable Michelin standard but half the price and without the flowers on your plate?! The service is excellent. Owned by the same family since the 1600s explains a unique atmosphere and the excellent food aas the Chef has been there for 22 years!!

Friendly and truly helpful staff. Beautiful location. Excellent food and wine. We require a late check - out which was arranged at no extra cost There is plenty to do in the magnificent surrounding countryside. What more need I say........

It is not possible to find fault with this establishment: the beautiful grounds, tasteful decor, excellent cuisine (not forgetting the generous breakfast menu) and the charming staff. It is much more like a home than a commercial hotel and this must be down to the owner whose home it is.

Beautiful house in gorgeous grounds. The owners and staff were really welcoming and helpful, giving us suggestions of what to do locally during our weekend stay. Due to poor packing, Richard, the owner, even lent us a tie ( from a selection) for a wedding we were attending. The rooms were very comfortable with lovely bedding and the food was excellent. The whole experience felt as if we were staying at a friends' country house.

We enjoyed our family occasion at Plumber Manor very much. We have been dining here many times over the years and also stayed for the night a few times. We will be back

Another fabulous stay at the Manor, superb food and wine and we were so well looked after by the delightful staff. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and we were very well looked after. A relaxing and enjoyable weekend we are already looking forward to a return visit.

Amazing stay at Plumber Manor. Has my husband’s 60th dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. All the guests said it was the best they had had for a long time. The service is amazing from arrival to departure. Would definitely recommend a meal and stay.

From the moment we arrived it felt like a home. Everyone seemed happy to be there. From the friendly personal welcome, the beautiful flowers, the open fire, the ambiance, delicious dinner, beautifully appointed rooms with very comfy beds and then topped off with a first rate breakfast. All in all, Plumber Manor is an absolute gem.

A wonderful weekend away; I felt truly welcomed by all the staff. My room was spacious and tastefully equipped. My dogs loved the outside space and had plenty of freedom to run around. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We return here over and over, never had anything but the most wonderful welcome, followed usually by Richard PB in the evening. The food is always excellent. Menus have a great choice to suit all. A great choice of wines. We also stayed in the main house. Beautiful accommodation, understated and most comfortable. As ever, a superb breakfast. What a wonderful place

This Hotel is an absolute delight in every aspect, especially the high standard in the Dining Room - we wish that we lived closer to enjoy the universal care and attention more often. It has been some years since our last visit but the standards remain at a very high level.

One of our favourite places to stay. Set in beautiful gardens I can’t think of a lovelier setting. The food is also wonderful. The staff are welcoming, friendly and make it a most hospitable experience. We have stayed many times over the past twenty plus years and intend to continue doing so!

The room was in the main building, adequate and very comfortable but not a lot of space. Lovely bathroom, small tv. The lighting needs some modification, the alternatives being either stark overhead recessed mini-spotlights or only one bedside light. I'd noted that tea/coffee maker was listed as being in the room, so brought my own pods for a Nespresso but in fact it was a kettle with teabags and instant coffee sachets. Our meal was unimpressive, (bland, uninspiringly presented and tepid) apart from my husband's mushroom in filo pastry cup which was lovely. There was no acrimony, the staff were very concerned and attentive to our comments, and we were compensated. A lovely house and gardens, but the meal and room were not, we felt, good value for money. A disappointing birthday celebration, but the staff were friendly, attentive and courteous.

Sheer unadulterated, pampered luxury. Have NEVER been disappointed with Plumber Manor - and our expectations have always been of the highest. Would recommend this for a super night out, or for a special occasion - you will not be disappointed
