Lovely quirky B & B. Stayed for 2 nights - loved the decor and the building - exposed bricks and roof timbers, stone steps - clean, good location, and super comfy bed. Smooth self check in, no concerns. I probably wouldn’t want to stay there for longer than 2 nights purely because the bathroom was v v small (and door didn’t close), breakfast was ok (but not as varied as staying in a hotel), and the aircon was not really sufficient (but it was very hot the week I visited and it’s an old building). This isn’t a negative review - I loved staying there and would happily stay again, just not really suitable for a stay more than 1-2 nights I felt.

We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality.
We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout.
The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. We would stay here again.

This hotel made the perfect finish to our trip to Tuscany. It was romantic, beautifully decorated, with so much atmosphere. The stone steps to the first floor are quite steep, but with plenty of artwork and quaint little window boxes on the way. Our room was incredible and the four poster bed was comfy (I like a hard bed!). The window overlooked a Main Street, but not noisy. The bathroom was adequate and very clean. Breakfast was great value for money, with pastries, and continental meats and cheeses, plus fruit and coffee. Gabriella was the perfect host, and I will recommend my daughters all to go to this hotel. Perfect location!

A unique, romantic hotel. I have mobility issues, but managed the stone steps up to the first floor. It was well worth the climb. It was like stepping back into medieval times, with the most stunning bed and soft furnishings. The window overlooks the street, but it was not too noisy. Bathroom was adequate and very clean.The breakfast was a full continental with cold meats, pastries, fresh coffee, etc. An absolute bargain at 5euros each. Best of all, Gabriella was an outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. Perfect location and excellent value for money.

What a wonderful, quaint antique hotel on one of Lucca's main streets. The hotel was perfectly located in the centre of the walled city, accessible to shops and restaurants. While above one of the main thoroughfares, we didn't find our room noisy. The main access is off a side lane, and rooms are accessible by staircase only. Our rooms was quite dark, but well equipped. A lovely experience in an Interesting town.

We stayed for three nights in a beautiful room which was spacious, clean and uniquely decorated. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated in a medieval theme throughout. Our host Franca was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a central location in Lucca and is a 10 minute walk from the station. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel when visiting Lucca.

What a great place to stay and chill out. It's run by a lovely lady Franca who is very helpful and will tell you the best places to visit. It's a short walk from the train station and when you get there you can stroll around the town at your leisure. It's very romantic and quirky. Lucca it's a must visit town in Tuscany, also 25 min train ride to Pisa so it makes a good base. A couple of things to point out is the walls are very thin, it can get busy at breakfast time and our bathroom smelt a little drainy at times. Would i go back Yes, would I recommend it to a friend most definately, go and enjoy. ps great little cocktail bar just outside to the right.

This was a wonderful eclectic choice for accommodation in Lucca. Its centrally located in the old town and close to all the bars, restaurants and attractions. Exceptional staff who are friendly and offer excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. Very clean and a great breakfast. Highly recommended.
