Nest Baja

The Nest in Baja was everything we hoped for and more. The grounds are stunning—elevated and thoughtfully designed, yet still rugged enough to make you feel like you’ve truly escaped to a hidden paradise. Every corner feels connected to nature without sacrificing comfort or beauty. The restaurant was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and delightful at every meal. Whether you’re refueling after a morning surf or winding down at sunset, the food and atmosphere hit the spot every time. The staff werereally helpful—they made our group feel welcome and cared for. We came with a group of friends, and the Nest made it a truly magical experience. Perfect for surfers, eco-conscious travelers, and friend groups looking for something unique, grounded, and special. We'll be dreaming of this place until we can return.

Visited with my wife to surf. Great place, location and service. The food was also excellent and unexpected. Hes at the front desk was amazing. He was very kind and accommodating. Would highly recommend this spot and plan to visit in the future.

Peaceful, kind, considerate, great value, unique, thoughtful, high-quality… These are the things that quickly come to mind when I think about my experience at NEST. It’s the perfect extended weekend vacation when you need to mentally clear your pallet and reset your senses.

We had a wonderfully, relaxing vacation at Nest Baja. All the staff is genuinely caring and very hospitable! They take great care in creating a very pleasant experience. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, the linens are very good quality. The swimming pool water is cool; so it is refreshing because it gets quite hot in this climate. All the decor is a beautiful organic, clean modern style with special extra touches for example, incense and spa sandals. We loved the chimnea in our room. The food is super fresh, not overly seasoned, & reasonable portions. Ideal place for couples due to the small boutique nature of the property. A large family with children would not be the best fit.

WARNING - TERRIBLE HOTEL AND SERVICE DO NOT BOOK HERE! Regularly cancels bookings with little notice! Despite booking 8 months prior to our trip, 8 weeks before our arrival we received an automated email ‘confirming our booking had been cancelled.’ We did not cancel our booking, they did and used this automated email that I assumed was an error, to tell us. I had to message twice before receiving an actual email from a person who just said - oh we had a system update and now we can’t accommodate you. There was no offer of a discounted rate for a future trip, no real apology or explanation, just a - system update, we’ve already refunded you. Whilst this place looks nice, it’s just not worth the risk - they cancelled with such little notice we will now have to find a hotel in town (which is not where we wanted to be for our trip). A few days after this interaction I spoke with a friend who had the exact same experience with the white lodge a couple of years prior. They booked at the white lodge who cancelled their reservation with little notice due to a ‘system error.’ My friends ended up calling and were told by someone at the hotel that a larger party had booked over their dates. So this is clearly something they regularly do - they do not honour bookings and will cancel last minute if they get a larger party or higher value booking with no regard for the guests who have booked time off work and flights. A short term money grabbing strategy and very risky for guests! I highly recommend not booking here and risking your trip being cancelled last minute! They’re super rude, super shady, big time wasters - avoid like the plague.

Beautiful rustic Baja getaway with amazing ocean views, friendly staff and a delightful restaurant. Unfortunately, our room reeked of sewer gas and the kitchen fan on the wall adjacent to our room ran obnoxiously loud on and off all day and evening. To remedy this, the front desk offered a room change to a remote and dark cellar of a room which we did not take. Instead we took a neighboring room where we still encountered the noise and occasional smell. I expect more for the price and complained which was met with a small deduction in our charge. IF I return, I would take one of the casita rooms which are independent of the main building. Other feedback I have for The White Lodge: softer music first thing in the morning, a full coffee bar with milks and stronger coffee and a water dispenser so guests need not ask for water repeatedly. If you rent a car, I recommend you get a 4 wheel/ all wheel for the rough dirt roads.
