The manager of the Hollywood Roxy Hotel, Sunny, is one of the BEST hotel managers ever!!!

Easy access to other parts of Hollywood. First class tacos (& margaritas) a block away. Easy parking. Clean.

For the price and location this stay was awesome and perfect. Room was acceptable and clean. Not upscale but expected for price and location. If you want to save money I HIGHLY recommend!

Wow, this place was awful. It was incredibly run down and disgustingly dated. They call themselves a hotel, but this is ten times worse than even a proper motel like a Super 8 or Motel 6... This is no hotel. Especially the lobby is awful. The worst thing is THERE IS NO PARKING LOT. They shouldn't be able to advertise that they have parking when they really have a small alley that's mostly full of the owner's vehicles. It's extremely tight and could damage your car, and fills up quickly. I was forced to park on the street, and incurred a $65 parking fine. There is no modern electric AC/heater unit. Instead there is a dated gas fired wall furnace which smelled to be leaking gas. The pictures show that the fridge was moldy, and the rooms were incredibly dated, covered in 50 layers of paint. There were two power outlets in the whole room. Thankfully, the bathroom was updated and free of mold. This is always the most important thing. The gross wall textures were smoothed out, and newer tile and fixtures were installed. However, no bathmat was provided. I checked in 12 hours late and the owner refused to give me any flexibility on check out. He tried to charge me $50 for 2 hours extension. No wonder he owns a Rolls-Royce and Mercedes S550 that occupies half the parking alley.

So as they're allowed to do apparently the hotel once I arrived sprung a cash deposit on me out of nowhere. I didn't have cash and the courteous people at ********** would not accommodate me to another location that didn't require a deposit so therefore I paid for nothing. Nothing. So be aware if you're making reservations online because you don't have cash etc be aware that it doesn't matter you could still lose all the money that you paid for the room because the hotel likes to play games.

This property needs a lot of work is not clean the little furniture they have is dirty and is falling apart in total it don't feel safe nor is clean

Just awful, but it does the job. Pros: The room itself was clean, had wood floors, and didn't smell like smoke. The mattress is surprisingly comfortable. The heating works. The wifi works (barely). I got a room for 3 nights for $66/night and you can't beat that price. Cons (so many): Check in is at 2pm and before 2pm has a $25 early check-in fee. Even though I arrived at 1:45pm, they wouldn't waive the fee for me. There's a required $25 cash-only deposit when you check in, that you only get if you check out at 10am (The ******* listing says 11am which is incorrect). They were unable to provide me with a receipt for my deposit. The young woman I talked to doesn't speak english well enough to answer the question "What's the check-out process?" and needed to get her manager. The room is barer than bare bones. No electrical outlet near the bed (I came prepared with my own extension cord), no lamp in the bedroom, only the overhead light with the light switch by the door. There's a construction site next door that starts working at 8AM. I absolutely could not get back to sleep after they started working. My gues is that this hotel is probably geared towards folks who have no other housing options and are in dire straights. They're not trying to create a pleasant

It looks very horribly kept Danny's new they need new cleaners and remodeling ASAP that AC didn't work the TV didn't work

Terrible place, the hotel manager is angry all the time and the responses to questions were very rude with no reason.
