Victoria Inn

We stayed for one night as it was very close to an avenging event we were attending. Lovely, friendly staff, a nice pint (lots of choices of beers etc) and a great breakfast. Very peaceful night’s sleep and the room was clean, comfortable and had all essential facilities. Excellent value and would definitely recommend and stay again in future.

Rooms: Friendly staff. Attentive - served immediately at reception despite the pub being busy. Clean room with enough space, a couple of chairs and a desk. Pub: Great atmos - something for everyone - a few young families dining alongside high-spirited drinkers - a great mix Negatives: Nothing much negative - perhaps a little pricey for a room in a pub.

WOW what a surprise. We were booked here by my daughter to stay for her wedding as she lives around the corner, and were thoughtful as I haven’t stayed in a pub for 50 years. I should not have had any concerns as this is a boutique hotel masquerading as a pub. On the phone everyone was helpful before our stay, from room selection, flexible bookings for numbers at dinner as we never knew who would turn up,cabs booked.. well. Delene took me under her wing excellent., jack her fellow supervisor efficient nothing to much to ask. Cary general manager a mother hen runs a good ship, leads by example, Ahmed a newbie will go far great attitude . Our room large superior double. Everything I could want. Dinner great menu, excellent service.started with scotch egg, for mains starter of pressed crispy lamb and for desert perfect cheese presentation. My wife had the salmon tartare, then rare steak. Accompaiements tasty garnish filling. Atmosphere lively, good music. Breakfast scrummy.eggs and salmon sublime. Sorry to sound ecstatic .I am
