Troy Hotel

Nice hotel a bit expensive for what you get. Overall, the hotel needs refurbishment plus very important the breakfast staff are rude although, receptionists are great.

Troy hotel was good, but without air condition the room was too hot, difficult to sleep. The breakfast was same every morning, basic one.

Good clean and tidy hotel near Hyde Park. Free breakfast was fairly average but apart from that close to 2 tube stations and would stay again. No air con on room. Fairly spacious. Staff were mostly nice except the breakfast lady was rude. Good value

Stayed here due to proximity to Hyde Park as was attending one of the BST events. Location is spot on; few minutes to the nearest park gate and about another 5-15 mins walk depending on which entrance your ticket is for if attending a BST show. Initially we were unimpressed with the service and facilities as the staff didn’t seem to be all that great, and the room was a bit tatty (carpets around the edges of room were vile, curtains didn’t shut properly, shower went from ice cold to scalding hot and back again in a cycle with a small window of suitable temperature in between which made showering interesting, plus it was the tiniest shower cubicle in the world, and towels provided aren’t really of adequate size for adults, etc). But we just needed somewhere to get our heads down for a night after a gig and didn’t care too much about a no frills experience as we weren’t staying in the hotel aside from sleeping, and for this thankfully it was adequate. Not too much noise from other guests in hotel, temperature of room was pleasant enough (but there was a fan provided too), the bedding seemed clean, and there was coffee and croissants available for breakfast. To summarise; for an overnighter after a gig nearby or a shopping trip / show this was just right. Any longer and I think the cons would have outweighed the pros. Would return - but only for an overnighter.

Great location, close to the metro, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Rooms are small but that's okay. Beds big enough but the mattresses could be better. Did not bother us for two nights. It was too hot in the room so we slept with the window open and turned off the heating. Breakfast was simple but filling.

This hotel was in a perfect location for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooom had a small fridge (very noisy!), a TV and a hot strong shower. I was afraid that it being January, the room would be cold. But it was too hot. That coupled with the noisy fridge made the night uncomfortable. We needed to use the fridge, so it had to stay on. Apart from that, we were satisfied with our stay. Everything worked. The sheets and the bathroom were very clean. Wi-Fi signal was strong. The free breakfast was filling.
