Dorset Square Hotel, Firmdale Hotels

Such a lovely boutique hotel in the best location in central London within walking distance of Marylebone train station. I was travelling solo for one night and had an early train to catch so this hotel was perfect. It has a lovely lounge area opposite the reception and a cozy restaurant downstairs. My room, at the top of the hotel, was very small but beautifully designed and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on with gorgeous linens. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had the most amazing stay at dorset square hotel. We had planned to get married at old marylebone townhall and were looking for a hotel nearby to host an intimate party and honestly this hotel was the place. We stayed for two nights and the service was more than excellent. We hosted a lovely wedding afternoon tea followed by a small party at the potting shed restaurant. We cannot express how perfect everything was. Luca the hotel manager guided us to ensure we had the most perfect day. Service was absolutely excellent. I wish i could remember the names of the team to list each one of them but they made our day so special. They were all so nice helping and supporting us to have the best day. We were self conscious that we may have stressed them with all our requests but they honestly made sure they catered for all our needs to ensure we had the best stay. I 100% recommend this hotel. To add to it, we can’t express how beautiful the hotel is. It is a true boutique hotel experience so beautiful and the table ware was stunning. It is also wedgewood x kit kemp(owner of the hotel) things which were just amazing. Overall we had a special memorable two days and would not recommend it enough to everyone! It may be a long message but we wanted to add that when we checked out we were apologising to the reception staff that we hope we were not noisy and their response was that they were so happy to see a wedding happening in the hotel and were so happy with it which made us happy. Finally, the staff for our party were just the absolute best. They were always smiling so lovely to our guests made the best drinks and food was excellent. Conscious that this may be the longest message but we want to ensure that we have covered everyone as they were so so nice. 100% recommend to everyone!

This is a very stylish hotel, typical of the Firmdale family. Check in was efficient and friendly and we liked our room. Breakfast was delicious and the lounge was a very comfortable place to chill out. The hotel has a cricket theme to mirror its location near the original Lords cricket ground and this all added to the slightly quirky feel.

Excellent service with very helpful staff Superb restaurant Small but perfect bedroom I stayed about 6 weeks following a flat fire and was comforted by the attentive and efficient staff following my very unpleasant experience. i have stayed at The Dorset Square Hotel several times before this last visit, and found it an extremely good experience. However, this time I was given a room on the top floor ( attic?) which was incredibly small - there was just enough room to walk round the bed but no space for a dressing table of any sort - quite difficult to know where to put makeup, hairdryer etc. The wardrobe and the bathroom were very tiny too. Firmdale hotels always decorate their rooms beautifully but this does not make up for the lack of facilities. My other disappointment was with room service . I arrived around 4pm after a two hour train journey and ordered tea - it had not arrived by 5.15 so I had to cancel as I was going out. I would like to say that it was not all disappointing- my guest and I had a very nice dinner at The Potting Shed later that evening.

We have traveled all over Europe and this hotel was one of our best experiences! The room, location and service was impeccable. The manager and staff worked to ensure our celebratory trip was a special one!

Lovely, cosy hotel with very comfortable beds in a prime London location within walking distance of Marylebone High Street. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. For food options, we didn't think too much of the onsite restaurant, but plenty of other options nearby.

Firmdale fan and this was my first stay at the Dorset Square. The manager could not have been more accommodating and the staff incredibly friendly.

My wife and I recently held our wedding reception at Dorset Square Hotel and The Potting Shed Restaurant and Bar. It was a really lovely and intimate event. The setting of the restaurant is very homely and unique, and the hotel and drawing room was great for photos. All our guests really enjoyed the venue and the quality of the food. We're still getting compliments about the canapés and the custom welcome drinks! In addition to great service, we would highly recommend the hotel and Potting Shed as a reception venue due to its close vicinity to Old Marylebone Town Hall. Marylebone and Baker St station are also within walking distance. We can't thank Luca (the General Manager), Giulia and the staff enough. Luca was very friendly, enthusiastic and easy to deal with. He made it easy for us to plan our event providing honest, open advice about what was possible and his experienced recommendations. He was generous in allowing us to customise things like the menu, drinks and restaurant space to how we wanted and within our budget. We also really appreciated his willingness to take impromptu calls and meetings to discuss any concerns or questions we had. Giulia and the staff were also warm, helpful and accommodating to our needs which really eased our minds, and enabled us all to relax and take in the occasion. We all felt well attended to and looked after. We will definitely be returning in the future and many of our guests said the same : )
