I’ve never encountered a more comically mismanaged health club than the one at the Marriott Park Lane. You pay months in advance—no small amount—for what is marketed as a “premium” experience, only to be met with relentless inconvenience. The membership card routinely doesn’t work, leaving you locked out like an unwelcome guest in the very club you’re paying for. Worse still, when you try to raise any kind of concern, your complaints are met with a deafening silence. Emails go unanswered. Staff give vague reassurances that never materialise into action. It feels like you’re paying a luxury rate for a service that’s barely functioning. This is supposed to be a five-star establishment, yet there is absolutely zero evidence of the high standards it boasts about. The attention to detail, the customer care, the basic operational competence—none of it is present. Avoid wasting your time and money. There are far better-run places in London that don’t pretend to be something they’re clearly not.
