Travelodge London Central Southwark

The worst business hotel experience ever!! No mini fridge, dirty room, dirty towels, no toothbrush and toothpaste, need to get the hair dryer by yourself at the reception desk, only 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi every 24 hours… etc In the bathroom, the shower curtain is too short, and the shower area is too shallow, so the water is everywhere every time you take shower, absolutely unpleasant. Definitely not recommended and won’t stay in this hotel in the future.

beds and toilet are bad, there is no amenities.

I have been going to the Travelodge at Southwark for a couple of months now for work. Every time I have tried to check in I have had issues with the check in due to a 3rd party company used. The staff at the Travelodge and in particular Bhanu have been so patient and helpful every time. He has helped me navigate the problem and has always done it with a smile. Great experience - thanks Bhanu.

Very convenient exalent location,Not very welcomeing to look at,bedroom hadn't been hovered and bathroom smelt damp and had mould in place's water mark's all over.My daughter also had what looked tobe a publick hair on her unused towel.Beer was expensive even for London.

Great service from Bhanu at the reception. Comfortable room with excellent location near the event I was attending very close to Southwark Tube station. Quiet room no views but also no noise frim the road - so a very oleasabt experience. Thanks.

We have found the staff very welcoming and friendly, travelling with family they were very helpful and the breakfast where kids eat for free worked wonders for my children. A special thanks to Jenny who was very friendly and had great customer service. We liked the fact the rooms were not cleaned daily unless we hung out our top-up service sign. Then they left new tea and coffee, emptied the bins and left fresh towels. The floors could have been vacuumed though. Sound insulation poor, I found the noise of the trains flushing of pipes and other noises during the night hard to sleep with. As a smoker, no designated aera apart from out on the street and a walk around the hotel, (back lane) felt insecure and smelt cleanliness there was lacking. For seeing the city the location was great, If prepared to walk between 15000 and 20000 steps a day there's no need for public transport and if your feet become tired a local cab to the door is not outrageous.

The room was spotlessly clean and a reasonable size, storage was a small wardrobe ...no drawers and one shelf. The bathroom fan was continuously on donut was not possible to have the bathroom door open. However, the staff were absolutely brilliant across the board, Breakfast options were plentiful, well cooked and the supplies were continually topped up. The location is excellent just a 20 minutes walk from the Southbank and 10 mins from Waterloo. Walking to Covent Garden took 30 mins but there's also a tube station within a 3 minute walk. The price was really good value for money considering all of the above and we would use again.

The service was excellent, when I arrived in the evening after checking out, I was somewhat pressed for time and in a frantic state, the guy at the counter, Bhanu, was very understanding, helpful, and friendly, he gave me some water and we chatted a bit as I charged my phone before I had to rush out again. The other staff were also friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was solid, nice sweet cereals, croissants, properly cooked bacon, fruit salads etc…
