The Fountain Hotel

Beware! They do not indicate that their reception closes at 11pm on booking sites, so they WILL leave you stranded and then refuse to refund you! This happened to me after booking this hotel through a booking site that they had set up. They called me 20 minutes before reception closed and then made no effort to call me back and refused any refund when I got in touch about this.

Stayed at the Fountain for three nights. Due to home football match, accommodation was scare in the Tottenham area. This location was suitable for our needs. However, there is very little positive I could say for the property. It’s not a hotel as such; bedrooms attached to a large pub. No reception and no point of contact other than the bartender. Room on the first floor was small and cramped. Bed was very close to the ground and a small double at that. Bathroom had poor shower head, leaking/dripping tap and a blocked sink plug! On one morning there was no hot (or even warm) water. The cold shower definitely wakes one up!! On the second day the room was not made up and no fresh towels supplied. Stairways was steep with high risers on the steps. Corridors were very narrow; how this place gets a fire license from the local authority is baffling. Not recommended only as an absolute last resort.

We had a cheap stay in London. The hotel was oK. The rooms were a bit small, but clean and comfortable and we had a good sleep. It was cleaned every day. Although there was a pub in the house, our room was very quiet and there were no noises. The front desk was inside the pub we didn't go. The surrounding was a bit dirty, but it was only 10 minutes walk to the next underground station and then the trip to the city center was quick. It was good, that there were cheap places to eat nearby and a supermarket nearby.

Location: dirty and extremely unsafe. This place doesn't deserve to be called a hotel. Avoid it at all costs! I booked this hotel for three nights. The neighborhood is horrible, and the room and bathroom were filthy. There were yellow stains on the shower floor, and the bed sheets and towels looked very old. Fortunately, I brought my own bed sheets and towels. But that’s not all. Around 2 AM, I was jolted awake by the sound of someone throwing stones at my window and shouting, ‘Open the door! I brought you cake.' I was just shocked. Then, they broke in by smashing the glass on the front door, yelling in the corridor where my room was located right behind my door. I was utterly terrified and stayed behind my door and trying not to make any noise, waiting for the intruder to leave. The place itself is far from ideal, but I hadn’t planned to complain until this horrifying incident occurred. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I was unsure if the person would return, which added to my distress. I have attached photos of the broken door taken the morning after the incident. It's unbelievable that the property management did not react until two days later with a short message saying "sorry about the inconvenience," as if such a life-threatening issue hadn't happened at all! This place doesn't deserve to be called a hotel! It is unbelievable that neither the hotel and nor the famous platform through which I booked are helping with my request for refund! After multiple calls and messages, still no refund whatsoever!

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’m also unsure if the person will return, which adds to my distress.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to a party nearby. I thought this little hotel was great. Check in is done at the bar in the pub, the gentleman was very friendly and walked us up to our room Room was great. Very clean, basic but had great temperature control, TV, bathroom was nice and clean with an actual large bottle of nice shower gel provided The breakfast/tea and coffee facilities are really good The provide a large amount, rather than just a stingy little serving Just a nice little touch The room was safe, secure and quiet Granted we didn't get back till 2am But then slept like a log. They give you outside and inside key So after hours access was a piece of cake And they do a key drop box if you have to leave in a hurry I mean I genuinely can't really find any real fault No bedside tables, but I used a shoebox from a pair of shoes I had bought! But that's really just a minor thing and didn't really make a big difference Overall I'd definitely recommend
