Motel 6 Lomita, CA

The place is cute and the rooms are big, but they are NOT honest and it is not clean. We arrived with a reservation for a week and a half for $1115., including tax. They took our credit cards and charged us $1,331. When I gave them the reservation number and complained, they said the price had gone up because they were busy. I threatened to call the main number. That night, they charged an additional $68 to my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. I complained again, and they said that they would reverse it, but they never did. I called the main Motel 6, and they said there was nothing they could do because it is a franchise. I am disputing the charges with my bank. As soon as I get home, I’m going to cancel my card. I may file fraud charges. We have been here 6 days and they haven’t given us fresh towels or emptied our trash. They said they would clean every three days. They also had trash strewn all over the ground by the dumpster for 4 days before they picked it up. Stay here at your own risk!!

Clean room, good area and office staff is very friendly. Beds are comfortable, sheets are clean. Overall a very good stay for the money. Would recommend this property again for families or if your traveling on a cruise. I’m used to Motel 6 being just ok. This property was beyond ok. Very clean, and welcoming.

Our reservation got canceled without notice, even though our credit card was holding it. We came to checkin at 9:30pm, & the front desk man said he had no vacancy & that he canceled our reservation at 8pm. So pretty much we have no where else to sleep. There was nothing in our confirmation email that said you have to apparently check in by 8pm. Our email did say to check in after 3pm & before 4am. So why was our reservation canceled, AND WITHOUT NOTICE TOO. I believe the property manager/front desk cancelled it on his own, not following business policy. Now it's 10 pm & we're driving another 20 min to another hotel. Such terrible hotel management.
