From the moment we arrived at Wester Auchraw Croft, we knew we were stepping into something truly special, not just a stay, but an experience that quietly changes you. Nestled in the rolling beauty of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the yurt is a sanctuary of calm, charm, and timeless magic. Imagine waking each morning to birdsong and soft light filtering through the canvas, with the scent of wildflowers on the breeze. The yurt is rustic yet deeply comfortable, blending natural textures and thoughtful touches that instantly make you feel at home. What made the experience even more unforgettable was our incredible host. So warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming, not just to us, but to our dogs as well! We were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived. It’s rare to find someone who creates such a deep sense of hospitality and connection, but that’s exactly what we found here. Our days were filled with adventures on the loch, hikes through breathtaking hills, and quiet evenings by the fire. And the croft itself, a beautifully preserved Cruck Framed Croft, is a living piece of Scottish heritage. You feel the history in the stones, the wood, the very air. If you're looking for something real – a place to connect with nature, history, and yourself, this is it. The yurt in summer is pure enchantment, and we left with full hearts (and two very happy dogs!).

Pictures on the booking site were in no way reflective of the location, one of the pictures showing an outdoor pool has no attachment to this business and is half way up a mountain. The host herself made myself, and the other guests very uncomfortable, spouting off about how the only people dying of covid were those who didn't have the will to live anymore and that the vaccine was unnecessary as a bit of yoga would do the trick. Would seriously not recommend.
