Beechwood House

My husband and I have recently returned from staying a night at The Beechwood. My only regret is that it was only for the night. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment. We both had the best nights sleep. The apartment has everything and more you could want. We are looking forward to returning soon for longer. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Beechwood House is not just a B&B it has a 2 bedroom apartment and another single apartment. It is a beautiful traditional Welsh house with some gorgeous original features. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which resembles more like a separate cottage, own patio, garden. Very spacious with good size bedrooms and a large bathroom ( roll top bath and separate power shower) Large kitchen. Free wi-fi. Has all the amenities you would need. There is free parking and your car is definitely secure and safe. Apartment was lovely, big enough for a family of 4. Both Caradog and Margaret are lovely. If I could have given them a cwtch (hug) for being so fabulous I would have. They are so friendly and chatty and gave us some great tips of the area and of places to eat. Thanks to them we went to the Moody Cow Bargoed Farm for a meal out. Its about a mile away and omg, amazing food, and reasonably priced. The breakfast is outstanding. Cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurts, juices, amazing coffee, cooked breakfast ( locally sourced produce) Bacon, eggs, black pudding, beans, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, toast. I didn't need to eat all day after such a breakfast. Beautifully cooked, piping hot and delicious. Another note and I can only say a massive thank you - I have coeliac disease and cannot eat gluten and they went above and beyond for me. They were so helpful and all my breakfast was gluten free, even the sausages. Location - about 3 miles from New Quay so no more than 10 minutes drive away but there is a regular local bus service with the bus stop located about 30secs walk away. Very central for Aberaeron, Aberporth, Aberystwyth, Llangrannog. All definitely worth a visit. Would definitely recommend. My only top tip would be - don't shoot me ! I feel Caradog and Margaret could put up their prices a little as you definitely get value for money above and beyond. I would have happily paid a little more as the breakfast alone used expensive ingredients. You get free secure parking, a very clean environment and I know after being in the area before parking can and often is an extra charge.
