My Review of The Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My fiancé Gregory and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa and I can honestly say it transformed our holiday. After a few disheartening setbacks in our trip—including some canceled wedding-planning appointments and a rural stay that left me at the mercy of every mosquito in Kefalonia (my legs must have been the region’s five-star buffet)—we were in desperate need of some reprieve and restoration. It was during a late morning internet search that I stumbled upon this gem of a hotel, and from the moment I made contact, the experience was seamless. The customer service was nothing short of exceptional—impeccable attention to detail, genuine warmth, and world-class hospitality from the very first email. I was fortunate enough to speak with DANAE, who truly went above and beyond in every way. Her communication was prompt, thoughtful, and full of empathy. I explained our situation and that I wanted to surprise my fiancé —who was feeling quite low, especially as it was his birthday—with a one-night escape. DANAE ensured every detail was handled discreetly and efficiently, all with such professionalism and care. We arrived that very same day, and despite the last-minute nature of the booking, everything was arranged perfectly. From the beautifully appointed sea view room with a private balcony and access to the spa and wellness facilities, every element was designed to soothe and uplift. As an ex-London squad swimmer, having access to a pristine swimming pool was a huge bonus, especially after struggling to swim during our rural stay. But the highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the surprise birthday dinner. The hotel arranged a perfect chocolate cake, complete with a candle and a heartfelt chorus of “Happy Birthday” from the staff—not flashy or forced, but authentic and sincere, which made the moment incredibly special. It was the first time in days I saw my partner truly relax and smile. The gastronomic experience at the hotel was divine. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding—the chef’s culinary artistry and the entire restaurant team’s gracious service deserve special recognition. I wish I could remember all their names but everyone of them was special in their own way and I want them to know that when they read this. The food was both elegant and nourishing, and catered perfectly to our preferences. What an incredible chef! Every interaction with staff—from the housekeeping team who maintained the room to perfection, to the general manager who checked in on guests personally—reflected a commitment to excellence and heartfelt hospitality. Absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning views. We’re here for 11 nights and it’s our last night tonight. Cannot fault it at all. We have ate in the hotel quite a lot and the standard of food is excellent. Combined with the fabulous friendly staff you could not ask for more. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I'm sitting in Kefalonia airport awaiting a flight home to the UK, reflecting on the 2 weeks in this fabulous hotel. From the cleaning ladies to the waiting staff, reception and managers, all 5 star. Friendly efficient and helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly cleaned everyday by the lovely ladies with a smile and a cheerful kali mera. Beds incredibly comfortable with clean linen every other day and towels daily. The rooms have everything you could need, including an umbrella! Luckily that wasn't required. Breakfasts were delicious. Chefs made eggs to your liking and a good range of Greek goodness on the buffet. Lunch was equally good. Lovely pool area to soak up the sunshine with clean towels provided. What was a lovely touch was the iced water dispenser by the pool bar to help yourself. All in all I will highly recommend this hotel. Very sad to be leaving this wonderful hotel and island. We will be back!
