Tianyu's Home Youduoduo Inn (North Gate of Colorful Danxia Scenic Area)

I usually don’t write reviews, but today I will make the exception for this hotel. The experience was nothing short of terrible. I contacted this place a day prior to verify that they had laundry service and when I got there I asked them to show it to me so I could wash my clothes at a later time. The washer was not hooked up, so I was not able to use it. Additionally, I asked them to help me book a train ticket because the China rail system is a bit difficult to manage. I asked them at around 7 pm and they can back and offered help close to midnight, by which time all seats and sleepers were already fully booked. So, I had to spend an extra day when they could have helped. I found this experience extremely horrendous and I hope customers avoid this place like the plague.

It’s about a 10minute walk to the North gate entrance of Danxia Geological Park. They upgraded me to a very nice, well lit and clean room. Foreigner friendly (very important during these times), and adding the wechat of the boss to ask any inquiries was very helpful. The town is very small so you can walk around and see pretty much everything. Highly recommend!

Clean hotel with nice and tasteful rooms, near to the north gate of the Rainbow Mountains. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Binggou Mountains aprox. 30 min ride.

Zhang Dongmei 张冬梅 who checked us in was above and beyond the nicest and most helpful person. She made us feel very welcome and took a lot of the stress out of being in a new area and not being able to speak Chinese. she helped us understand the ticketing for the danxia colourful mountains and arranged transport for us when we needed it. She really went out of her way to take care of us and we are very grateful to her. the inn is very conveniently located within walking distance (15min) of the ticket office to the Zhangye Danxia Geopark. there are many restaurants and small convenience stores around. I also recommend the Yugur grassland which is about 20min away by taxi.

This place is great. It's located in the tourist village just a short walk to the entrance of Zhangye Danxia Geopark, North Gate. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They gave suggestions on additional places to visit in the area and offered to organize a car for me if I needed it. I highly recommend this place. My one suggestion to travelers to Danxia is to go for sunrise rather than sunset. The crowds were crazy at sunset, but hardly anyone was there at sunrise. Besides, being summer, it was much nicer weather.

The hotel is run by a young family. They are very kind and helpful in any way. The location is great to walk to the rainbow mountains. The area has been develop solely for this purpose. Sadly they don’t have their own breakfast yet but you have to go to a next door hotel.

Very clean hotel. And the owner was so helpful for everything, including recommendations, answering many questions, and arranging drivers. Very thankful to the owner and give highest recommendation for this hotel 这里特别有家的感觉，干净整洁，老板人超好，我们在那里住了整整六天，老板还帮我们订了张掖七彩丹霞深度游的票，订车，周围景区环境老板都特别清楚，也可以接待外宾，距离景区也很近，非常非常好的酒店和老板，下次去张掖一定还住那里。

The hotel is great. We added a night as it is convenient to get from here to Bingguo Danxia in a day trip. There is a shuttle bus, but taxi is also only around 50 yuan.

The place was new and very clean and comfortable. The only thing I found odd is that the owner, that was very friendly, recommended me to visit some special area claiming that it was the best place around and when I went there it really felt like a SCAM, a very bad tourist trap. I'm unsure if the owner was actually trying to help and it was just bad luck or if she knew that as she was pushing me too much to go there, so be aware.
