I do not know where to begin.
It was the worst experience I ever had as a customer who is just looking to check into a hotel that I have booked.
First, I arrived at the hotel around 7 PM EST. There I went to the front desk where I was supposed to check in without any problem. Instead, lady in the front desk told me that my reservation was cancelled due to my card being declined. But also that they do not have any more rooms left? Are you kidding?
Let me tell you this. I have never received any notification from Trip app nor got any email about issue with card. And when I checked my bank account it literally shows that purchase was not pending but completed. I work at a credit card agency so I should know this better.
When I showed the lady in the front that my card was charged with no issue and never refunded or declined she decides to call someone and comes back saying she DOES have a room? Like how does this make sense? So they magically make rooms be available?
I have a gut feeling that she was being ****** against us (Asian) thinking that as travellers we can't speak English well and does not know alot of how things are like in US. Hey guess what? I've been living in the US for more than 17 years haha.
That was the worst experience of my life hope no one else gets treated this way.
