Stay Inn by OYO Near I 80 Lincoln West

Very rude and disrespectful staff / possible owner The guy lied about the incidental fee over the phone then charged me more when I arrived. He also charged me $30 for a towel he swears I stole but we had only 1 towel.

Fine for one night. Missed the turn because there was no sign nor lights in the parking lot and it was dark when we arrived. TV is very small, room is too wide so you can't see very well from bed, not that we watched due to it didn't work! Only one channel. No lights next to the bed so we had to leave a lamp by door on to see. Pillows are as small as airline ones and not all the same shape. We had to plug all lights in when we came into the room and it was freezing as the heat wasn't on. But it at least it did heat up a little quick. Bathroom door knob locks but doesn't matter as you can just push the door open since it doesnt latch. But it was ok for a one night stay.

Rooms were clean. No continental breakfast, noisy, bathroom fan was squeaky, one channel on the tv, not a great area. Had to give a $50 cash deposit that was refunded at check out.

Hotel Room from Hell 1) Deceptive advertising: “Grand Opening” sign, I purchased a room with a King bed with kitchenette as advertised as a “basic room” and got a queen bed in a very tight room. 2) They do not provide breakfast as advertised 3) 1” Stumbling hazard across threshold to dressing area. My wife almost fell. I have a picture of it. 4) Clogged tub drain. I have a picture of it. 5) Filthy desk chair 6) Lamp won’t turn off, had to unplug it 7) TV was unplugged. After plugging it in, it could not be turned off without unplugging it 8) Dead bolt does not lock (privacy and security hazard) 9) The wireless keypad on the outside of the door had been removed and was not secured to the door properly. It looks like someone could have “hot wired” it from the outside and gain access. I have a picture of it. 10) Door jam is broken (looks like the door had been kicked open at one time. I have a picture of it 11) Cockaroaches were discovered while packing up to leave. I killed one and took a picture.

I would not recommend staying here. I got to my room and could easily open the door without a key card, no matter how many times I tried closing the door properly so it would lock. The only way I could lock the room was if I was inside, and I used the little latch at the top of the door. On the morning of checkout (checkout is 11:00 am) I was in the shower at 10:30 am and a cleaner/maintenance person tried entering my room, and when the latch stopped them they knocked for 5 minutes. I exit the shower to see that they have left my door cracked open, with the latch as the only thing stopping the door from opening all the way. If you value privacy and safety I would really shy away from staying here.

When you pull up it might look like the property is abandoned. We got there at 1:30pm and the office was locked because they were cleaning rooms. I called and the manager said it would cost $20 for an early check in so we went and ate instead before coming back after 3:00 for check in. I booked a double queen but when we got to our room it was a single king. I went back to the office and the manager got us into a double queen. The manager was very polite and was a good guy. Our room had a bit of a musty smell but we really didn’t care as we were in town for a football game and just needed a place to crash after the game and the bars. Beds were nice, air worked, as did the fridge. Only 2 miles from downtown so the Uber ride was only $7 both ways and hotels downtown of course were gauging people at $400+ per night while we paid $88. I read another review where it said the area around the hotel was sketchy or unsafe; that is untrue. The Embassy Suites it is not, but if you are looking for a place to crash after a night out this hotel will do the job for the location and price.
