Hiawatha Lodge Inn

We recently stayed for 2 nights. The bed was comfortable. I know the bedspread was probably clean but it looked the same as the pictures show on this site from years ago. We had a lakeside view so it was nice to sit outside in the morning to drink our coffee. The breakfast area could have used more lighting-seemed dark to me. Continental breakfast was simple....breakfast sandwiches you could heat up, string cheese, apples, wrapped banana bread (not homemade), cookie (wrapped), yogurt, and English muffins to toast. The English muffins were all packaged together (like you buy them from the store)- package of 18...no tongs to remove your muffin...so who knows how many hands were in that package. There were no spoons for the yogurt and no creamer for the coffee. A small bottle of milk was in that basket. The front desk said someone took all of the creamer and she wasn't sure when they would get more. She opened a drawer for a spoon for me but didn't put more out for others. The breakfast area needs some morning attention. Not a hotel complaint but a suggestion for hotel guests ANYWHERE.......when late at night (for me anytime after 10pm) keep your voices DOWN. OMG...a lady was in the room next to us was talking on her phone (cuz no one else answered her that I could hear). She talked loud and for a long time. After hanging up...she made another call and continued. VOICES & TV VOLUME CARRYS............be considerate of others!!!! I would stay here again for the price....
