Voula Hotel

Clean rooms, close to beach, supermarket and bus station. Close to road to Piskopiano. Beautiful garden to drink the coffee în the morning or to stay with friends în the evening. I should come back next year. Staff very welcoming and smiling.

Voula and Aristo B&B Hotels the same owner Hersonissos Crete .The owner shoul deal with the problem befor it gets from bad to worse (Professional Pest Control Service).I was so badly bitten by bed bugs in Voula hotel that I was prescribed antyhistamins by the doctor . At Aristo hotel another German tourist had bed bug bites clustered around her eye and arm .Tourists believe or are made to believe that these bites are mosquitoes bites .But unlike mosquito bites bed bug bites tend to be clustered together, in groups, zigzag patterns or straight lines signalling the path they followed over the skin. As bed bugs bite they inject their victims with anesthetic (as well as anticoagulant) numbing the area . If your bites itch like hell it's mosquitoes if they don't they are bedbugs bites. We had to dispose suitcase and it contentce as to prevent bringing bed bugs home. Good luck if you are planning to stay in these hotels...

Hersonissos Voula and Aristo Hotels . l stayed at Voula and was badly bitten by bed bugs and the German lady who stayed at Aristo also had bed bug bites clustered around her eye and arm . I was so badly bitten that I had to seek doctors advice was diagnosed with bed bug bites, it was also confirmed by the doctor back home. As it is with bed bug bites you can have a very bad allergic reaction so I was prescribed antihistamines . It is an absolute nightmare to sleep in a bed bug infested hotel bed. As tourists believe or are made to believe that these are mosquitoes bites please note : bites from bedbugs can be distinguished from mosquitoe ones as follows: bed bug bites tend to be clustered together, in groups, zigzag patterns or straight lines signalling the path they followed over the skin. As bed bugs bite they inject their victims with anesthetic (as well as anticoagulant) numbing the area . The bites don't really itch… Please remember if your bites itch like hell it's mosquitoes if they don't they are bedbugs bites. Report , seek medical advice, complain immediately before the situation goes from bad to worse. Ask to be moved to another room or hotel. Bed bug infestation should be dealt immediately with Pest Control extermination. I had to dispose my suitcase and its contentce as to prevent bringing bed bugs home. This hotel is located in a quiet street and at the same time it’s very close to the vibrant main street and the seaside (with a great promenade full of cafes and restaurants/tavernas). There’s also a bus stop near the hotel so that you can easily get from/to the airport (or you can ask for a transfer). You can also explore the neighbouring cities – Iraklion (approx. 20-25 min drive by bus) and Agios Nikolaus (45 min drive). The hotel also offers car rental. Our room was clean and comfy. From our balcony we could see a bit of a sea from one side and the mountains from the other. We also liked breakfast options that included olives, feta, yoghurt, seasonal fruits, anchovies, tasty breads etc. We had our breakfast at the charming yard near the hotel (see the photos). The managers in the hotel is very friendly and helpful. They recommended us some excellent fish restaurants (frequented by the locals), and also helped to plan our trips to Irakleon/Knosses Palace and Agios Nikolaos. We also visited mountain villages Koutalafari and Piskopiano that are just some 20 min walk from the hotel. We felt like at home in this hotel and we definitely are eager to come here again. Some tourists we met here are coming to this hotel each year because it’s such a lovely place. We are very grateful to hotel managers Aristoteles and Leonidas for the great time we had in Hersonissos and Crete. We will definitely come here again and recommend to our friends.

Sehr gutes Verhältnis von Preis und Leistung, Zimmer sauber, Personal freundlich, Frühstück reichhaltig. Wenn der kleine, ca. 100 m entfernte Hotelparkplatz voll ist, kann man wenige Meter weiter südlich, entlang einer wenig befahrenen Strasse parken.

Sehr gutes Verhältnis von Preis und Leistung, Zimmer sauber, Personal freundlich, Frühstück reichhaltig. Wenn der kleine, ca. 100 m entfernte Parkplatz voll ist, kann wenige Meter weiter südlich, entlang einer wenig befahrenen Straße geparkt werden.

Очень понравился отель "Voula". Находится рядом с центральной дорогой, все магазины рядом, автобусная остановка тоже рядом. В отеле чисто, современная мебель, санузел, есть фен. Вечером можно сидеть на балконе за столиком, есть стулья. Хорошая звукоизоляция, за всё время отдыха ни разу не слышали соседей. Приветливый персонал (по-русски не говорят, ), завтраки не шикарные, но голодными не останетесь. Очень нравилось завтракать на террасе под апельсиновыми деревьями. В отеле 3 этажа, но есть лифт, так что с чемоданами нет проблем подняться-опуститься. Всё очень понравилось, буду всем знакомым рекомендовать этот отель.

Abbiamo alloggiato al Voula hotel nel mesendi agosto. Stanza normale con armadio a vista,tv, minifrigo e climatizzatore. Lo spettacolo é stata la grande veranda provvista di tavolino e poltroncine, divano, sedia a sdraio e stendino. Tutto il necessario per un'ottimo soggiorno. Colazione a buffet ricca di cose salate e poco dolce ma tutto molto buono. Pulizia e cordialita' del staff ottima. Posizione ottima vicinissima alla spiaggia e al lungomare pieno di lidi, ristoranti, pub e locali di ogni genere. Vicinissimo anche alla fermata del pullman che permette di spostarsi nelle citta' limitrofe. Da ritornarci

Wir möchten hier wirklich eine transparente & ehrliche Bewertung aufgrund unserer Eindrücke und Erlebnisse abgeben;-). Zu Beginn kann man nur ein ganz großes Lob an den "Hotelbesitzer" Aris Danelakis sowie an das gesamte familiengeführte Hotelpersonal aussprechen. Insbesondere hatten wir die gegenüber wohnende angestellte coole Dame ins Herz geschlossen! Sie waren "ALLE" super freundlich, charmant & witzig! Man hat sich unmittelbar extrem wohl gefühlt:-)))! Das renovierte Hotel befindet sich in einer Seitenstraße, die recht ruhig ist, da man bedenken muss, dass man sich im Touristenzentrum "Hersonissos" befindet. Unmittelbar gegenüber liegt ein wirklich sehr schöner eingewachsener grüner Garten, der allerdings alljährlich sowohl im Mai als auch von Ende August bis zu unserer Abreise am 17.09. von einer älteren norwegischen Großgruppe (20 +/- Personen) regelrecht belagert wird. Dies sind Gäste, die seit über 30 Jahren das Hotel Voula fast ihr "EIGEN" nennen;-), was natürlich für die Gastfreundschaft des Hotels spricht. Jedoch hatte dies zur Folge, dass man weder beim Frühstück noch am Abend ein ruhiges entspanntes Plätzchen im Garten vorfinden konnte. Es wurde zumeist laut gefeiert, sodass man bei offener Balkontür absolut nicht schlafen konnte. Klimaanlage alt/laut u. direkt über dem Bett, sodass es zog. Ruhe kehrte meist erst gegen 1 Uhr ein. Zudem befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Partyhotel, dient als Durchgangsstraße und ringsherum ist ein Hotel nach dem anderen platziert. Gegen 3/4 Uhr morgens konnte man dann endlich richtig schlafen;-). Wie gesagt, der Ort ist eine Touristenhochburg - dessen sollte man sich definitiv bewusst sein. FAZIT: Das wirklich sehr ansprechende Hotel mit kretischem Ursprung eingepackt und an ANDERER Stelle im Süden Kretas platziert ;-))))))! Ausführliche Bewertung auf HolidayCheck!
