Silva Beach Hotel

Loved the privacy of the rooms, which were more like villas. Wonderful service and ambience. The dining options and hours worked very well for us. Location was great.....on the beach but not quite in the crazy bustle of the main part of Hersonissos. We had a blast.

The beds were very comfortable the room was spacious with a patio area with the upstairs balcony over some part of our patio which gave some shade. The bathroom had a corner shower but my husband had to open the door when showering because of his long legs it was very cramped. The food when people first arrived the were not impressed but after a few days they were impressed good choice of food. The Italian restaurant next to the hotel which is part of the hotel was very good. The entertained was very poor but with the hotel in the Main Street there was plenty of choice out side the hotel, also there are many buses outside to take you to different places very central. The promenade was good for walking. One other thing there is not enough sun beds I don’t know what time people got up to reserve them the day we left we had a very early breakfast and we could see no vacant sun bed.

All inclusive buffet is very good with a nice variety each day. Rooms are clean and tidy with plenty of space for 2. We had room 448 which was in an excellent location with a main pool view and a distant sea view. Our room had a fridge to keep your drinks cool and a kettle if you fancy an early morning hot drink. There is 3€ per day charge to use the safe and a 10€ room tax per night which is paid on arrival. Staff are 100% focused on providing a good holiday experience. Two in particular stood out more than others. These were ZAC the Bar man in the Romantic Bar and Yulia the waitress in the buffet area - thank you both ! 👏👏 My only problem was the entertainment team have a very poor microphone, Everybody sounded muffled. This is a very easy fix, so Entertainment team "V-Boy" - please replace this and improve your guest experience. Excellent snorkeling just off the very small beach! I would recommend the Silva Beach Hotel for an all inclusive Crete vacation.

We were so pleased to revisit this lovely friendly hotel.Again we had a lovely room overlooking the salt pool and sea in the distance. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and such a good choice. There are some lovely unspoilt villages up the hill that are walkable or just a few Euros by taxi. Thank you to all the staff at the Silva Beach We really hope to return some day. We would recommend this beautiful place to anyone.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful All-Inclusive stay at Hotel Silva Beach in Hersonissos, and we’re happy to recommend it to others seeking a relaxing Cretan holiday. The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional Cretan village, with charming one and two-storey buildings connected by winding paths, steps, and gentle slopes. On arrival, we were welcomed by friendly reception staff and checked in within 15 minutes. A helpful porter escorted us to our room and took care of our luggage. There are several room types available throughout the complex - some overlooking small garden areas, others near the pools, and a few with sea views (although some were at the edge of the complex overlooking a street but with limited side sea view). We had upgraded to a side sea view but were pleasantly surprised to get a full view of the sea and the lower freshwater pool. Despite being a little distance from reception, we were well-situated between both pools, the main restaurant, and the bars. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, with effective air conditioning, a comfortable bed, a small fridge, and a safe (available for a small fee). Storage space was sufficient, and when we requested additional coat hangers, they were delivered promptly. The bathroom was compact but functional, with a reliable shower and facilities. The two pools each offered something different. The centrally located saltwater pool was usually quieter, while the larger freshwater pool near the beach hosted daily activities like aqua-fit and water polo. Unfortunately, sunbed reservation with towels began early each morning, despite rules against it. Reception staff were often able to help locate free beds, though. Some sunbeds, shades, and decking could use maintenance, but the hotel’s team responded quickly to any issues. Entertainment was lively but not intrusive. The animation team offered a good mix of daytime activities—darts, table tennis, aqua games—and evening shows including live music, karaoke, a traditional Cretan dance night, and more. They were enthusiastic without being overbearing. The buffet restaurant exceeded our expectations. It consistently served some of the best food we've had at an all-inclusive resort—flavourful, varied, well-seasoned, and freshly prepared. A grill station provided freshly cooked eggs at breakfast and meats and fish, and on select evenings, an Asian food servery added variety. Two additional à la carte dining options were available at no extra charge: a casual Burger Restaurant within the hotel grounds, and an Italian Restaurant just next door. Both required advance booking and served the same local drinks as the main hotel. The restaurant staff were attentive, welcoming and helpful. Bar service was generally good. Staff were efficient and courteous, even during busy times when queues formed at the main bar. We rarely waited more than 3–4 minutes. Silva beach is a solid 3.5 star hotel; on the outside you walk through a maze of faux-courtyard style traditional Greek village apartments but once inside you're faced with a variety of mostly tired looking rooms in need of an update. And while the quality of the food in the buffet was high, it's probably the most limited all inclusive we've experienced in Greece so far. + Good looking on the outside + Two great pools, provided you dont also want somewhere to sit nearby + High quality food in the buffet restaurants (unless you're Vegetarian, in which case, good luck!) = The rooms need updating. We had four rooms across our family booking and the difference between the four was significant. ="All inclusive" is pretty limited. 5 cocktails, 3 kinds of wine (Red, white and rose, all from the tap), and limtied booking availability for the two "a la carte" restaurants - Sunbeds. There arent enough. If you've not put your towels out by 4am you won't get one. Seriously, Mr Hotel Manager, you know how many guests you have, how about having one sunbed per guest. OR not letting people put towels out when they go to bed???
