WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Liberty

**PLEASE READ I went to Kearney, MO for a friend's wedding. I needed a place to stay so I went to *********** to find a hotel. I saw Woodspring Suites at $89 for the one night which isn't terrible. First impressions when checking in: There was a nice older woman that checked me in coming off of a 14 hour shift. She was as nice as can be. I checked in and went to my hotel room. As I was walking to my room, a group of about 10 teenagers a few rooms away from mine were causing a huge commotion. One kid even walked out of his room naked from the waist down. I ignored everything that happened and went to my room. I walked in and immediately it smelled like old stale cigarette smoke and bleach. I went down to speak to the front desk, and to my surprise it's not even staffed in person after 10pm. I called the after-hours number posted on the door and the man that picked up was the rudest manager I have ever spoke to. I asked to be moved to a new room and he said immediately that he didn't have any other rooms even though the whole parking lot was not even close to being full. The whole hotel smelled like **** even though I was in a non smoking room. Sleeping in the bed was awful. The bed was hard and pillows were way too soft. My back was extremely sore after I woke up and I am only 29 years old. If you have a family or value any common courtesy, this hotel is not for you. Avoid at all costs.

Not everyone has a cell phone. When my husband checked in NOONE THERE SAID THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE TO USE THE PHONE IN THE ROOM!!! It wasn't on the contract, wasn't verbally told to us when he checked in, no where on the wall in the office and no where by the phone in the room did it say there would be a chge for LOCAL CALLS meaning 816 area code. Yes my husband called me alot but didn't know they would chge my card with these LOCAL CALLS!!!! BEWARE if you use the phone you WILL be chged. They kicked him out of his room because the money used for his room was taken out for phone calls!!! What a frickin scam. When they sent my credit card company ( I disputed the chges that I didn't authorize) the list of the phone calls my husband made they put down next to the calls LONG DISTANCE!!!! THATS A LIE. How are calls from area code 816 to 816 long distance!???. They need to remove the phones out of the rooms if they don't verbally tell you when you check in or isn't on the contract. If someone needs to a phone they should go to the office to get one then the management should hopefully tell them there would be a chge!!! What they did is morally wrong!!! I called other hotels and motels and asked if they charge for calls (local) and they acted like the question was absurd!!! There like "NO ALL LOCAL CALLS ARE FREE - NO CHARGE". Woodsprings said to us ""well you should've known the phone is an Xtra amenity" WHAT? So that means using there water, fridge, microwave is Xtra? Don't give them your credit card info!!!!! They will use it without your permission!!! Will never do do business with these scammers again!!!!! Also no smoking in the rooms? That's a joke. If you don't like cigarette smoke or have allergic to cigarette smoke DONT GO HERE!!! BEWARE!!!!!

I stayed for several weeks, paying week at a time. Twice was i charged after already paying for the entire week in advance due to their in-house issues. I was told their employees did not know "math" and was told I needed to pay for their mistakes. Apparently they didn't add up the proper fee for the week and was forced to pay a different rate after the fact without even my knowledge. This is unacceptable. They made 0 efforts into making the wrong right and were extremely dismissive. I will never stay in this establishment again. If i could give this rating a 0 i would.

Bad place .dirty ,smelly , noisy , bed is a cot .no ice , glasses , coffee , hair dryer , Kleenex . Staff had did not care attitude . Parking lot full of problem glass . Shady characters living there with scary looking dogs .smoking right by entrance

Okay I need my reservation off booking was never told about $100 deposit so it's 7:30 8:00 at night I had to find a new room and when I say well since it's not my fault that this reservation is going to get canceled am I still going to get charged and the night guy says I don't know well after we deliberate for about 15 minutes he says I will make sure you're not charged only good side so all I've got to say is if you're going to charge the deposit you should say it online not at the window when somebody's checking in when we are purchasing this one I purchased it for a week luckily somebody else accommodated me and I'm fine with that. But then when I called to try and speak with any type of management tried to call the corporate office anything woodsprings has gotten so it used to be really good place to stay I travel I do a lot of traveling I am a union electrician and you best believe I'm going to let all the brothers know about how they treated me here y'all think y'all really don't care but when we stop using your services because somebody else will accommodate us it will make a difference
