Club Med Valmorel

We have stayed at a few Club Meds but the food here was the best we have ever had. The rooms were great and we had a lovely little balcony off one of the rooms. The ski instructors were all brilliant and we had no issues with the language barrier as most could speak English. We were lucky enough to have many blue sky days so all in all it was brilliant.

That was my second trip to Valmorel and this year was great disappointment. Drastic decrase in quality and variety of food was way too obvious, unlike last year, almost evrey dish lacked flavor. It's a shame to eat poor quality cheeses and cold cuts while in France. No internet in the room- and I was supposed to have "premium". Practically no activites for kids. The whole atmosphere of holiday fun weizeled out. I don't think I will return again. The bright spot was our ski guide-Aurelien-grat guide and a wonderful human being!

The hotel itself is very good, and the staff inside the resort provide excellent service. However, the entire experience revolves around skiing and snowboarding, and this is where things fall apart. The ski and snowboard instructors from ESF were disappointing. Out of approximately 15 instructors, only three or four were actually good. The rest spent more time chatting among themselves than paying attention to guests. I was literally forgotten on the mountain by an instructor who told me to stay on a slope to practice while he picked up the rest of the group—he never came back. Later, I found out that a child was also left behind the same day. ClubMed needs to maintain its high hospitality standards beyond the hotel and focus on selecting ski and snowboard instructors who prioritize guest experience. After being left behind, I tried skiing again the next day, only to be led down an extremely steep section for a beginner by another instructor, which resulted in an injury that ended my trip early. I paid for a full week of skiing but only got two and a half days. Another major downside was the lack of supervision for children. Many were running around unsupervised, which created an unsafe and chaotic environment. This was my first and last time at ClubMed Valmorel.

The beginners group was too big couldn’t really learn and had to quit We stayed a lot in the hotel so Karima was serving us so kindly and was amazingly nice!! The clubbed is great, the coffee here is terrible, so if you need coffee bring. Espresso machine with you or Turkish coffee

Disappointing customer service when problems happen - because you as a customer are the one to deal with them personally, and pay. All friendly vibe that you receive will quickly disappear on the date of your departure. My prepaid transfer departed without me for unknown reason, and the next one got delayed due to inclement weather conditions and transport stuck in snow - ultimately I was denied my boarding in the airport. I reported this to a hotel (village) officially in email, with all receipts for a new ticket - I was reassured that everyone is informed of my problem incl. head office, and I will be contacted soon. That was December 2024. My forced follow-ups (as none ever got back to me) continued to January 2025. I also had to make chargeable calls to hotel from abroad, as my emails were left unanswered - and upon calling the staff didn't speak EN pretty often, so they were telling me "to call back later". Ultimately I got an email reply to contact the sales office where I bought my trip. The sales office contacted Club Med headquarters - and answer was that they can only offer me a discount for the next trip, and no money refund. Absolute shame! Due to Club Med negligence in organizing my prepaid transfer, I had to pay extra for a new ticket - and now I am forced to book another trip in order to be "compensated". For me as a customer, this is completely illogical, and demotivating to ever travel with you, guys. Because even if something happens due to the company's fault (which I have no control over), I will still be the one to pay. That's totally unacceptable.

Our holiday, which was between January 19 and January 25, was very good until the last night. I think it was good because my son did not have to deal with the kids club staff much until that night. My son was very excited for the costume party planned on Friday night. I delivered it to the team for rehearsal 1 hour before. When she came on stage, she danced with a tearful and extremely unhappy face. Apparently, she had cried a lot before and her eyes were swollen. (You can see it very clearly in the footage, 2 before the end, there are 4 girls, the only one in the middle is a boy. When I went to pick it up when the show was over, he was crying loudly. He is a very happy and social child who cries very little. He explained what happened as follows: Even though he said he didn't want to wear the costume he was wearing and that he didn't want to dance in that show, he was forced to put it on and even though he was crying, he was forced to go on stage (he had to go on stage). He stated that he was made to dance, which was already obvious. No one can bully a child like that and make him cry in a place where people come to have fun. Unfortunately, all the good memories are ..all gone
