Hotel de la Fossette

Having just returned from staying at Hotel de La Fossette both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean with good views of the sea and with good air conditioning. Hotel location was perfect with in 5 minutes you can be on the beach. We found the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Overall we would have no hesitation in returning.

We have stayed in Hotel La Fossette numerous times and have always been welcomed back by the lovely family who ran it (mum, daughter and boyfriend) who could never do enough for us and were incredibly friendly. In the past I would have given it 5 stars. This time there was a new manager/director who, although was not unfriendly, was rather too ‘laid back’ and disorganised for our liking. Upon arrival we were told they didn’t have beach towels (which they always did have). However, they did eventually get us some, albeit a bit reluctantly. He didn’t seem to be very ‘hands on’ and always had his staff running errands instead of getting involved himself. The room was fine, rather on the small side but perfectly satisfactory with good air conditioning and reasonably clean. The next day our room was not cleaned at all and after that was not cleaned to a satisfactory standard with sink and shower taps left dirty. We were disappointed. Breakfast begin at 8.30am and they seemed to be unprepared even at that time! They were still mopping the floor when we arrived one morning! The manager still chopping up cheese at 9am! I would have liked another coffee but the staff were also eating their breakfast and I was not offered one. A little unprofessional in my opinion. I have not experienced staff having their breakfast with the guests. Having loved this hotel for several years, we would probably not return quite so readily although the position of it, close to the c beach is perfect and the short, but very pretty walk to St Clair is one we have always enjoyed. Let’s hope they smarten up their act and Hotel la Fossette is back to its normal superb self. Maybe we will give it the benefit of the doubt.

My Wife and I only spent a night but it was beyond expectations. Very nice breakfast place with a brief dedicated root to the beach 😁

We liked everything about this hotel. The location is close to a relatively small beach. The area is nice. The young man at reception was always friendly and helpful. The room had a good view, although it was not particularly big. The air conditioning worked well. There is a safe and kettle in the room, although I had to ask twice for tea and milk. The breakfast was good but a bit different to normal due to covid rules. You have to complete a form in advance with your breakfast requests. The things such as fruit come in small bowls, so you may have to modify your request to change the quantities if you stay several nights. The hot drinks machine is very good. The fruit juices were good. It took me a while to understand the parking. There are about eight hotel parking spaces just down the road, opposite the public parking. They could indicate better that these parking places belong to the hotel, as the small signs can not be seen from the road when cars are parked there. There may also be some parking spaces closer to the hotel along the road, depending on availability, plus there is the free public parking. One evening we ate out at the restaurant La Farigoulette, which has an interesting menu and is in easy walking distance

The hotel was perfectly located , right across from the beach and sea, our room had the view of the sea. Le Lavandou downtown was a quick 5 minutes car ride. Yet so close but so quiet. The room and hotel had all the amenities you would expect in the US, breakfast was included, order before 7:00 AM. Room had safe, mini fridge, robes, sleepers, Nuxe toiletries, lots of electrical outlets. Plenty of towels, beach towels were also provided upon request. Staff was very helpful in providing information for possible excursions.

Nous venons de passer un week-end en famille 👪. Établissement très propre. Accueil très professionnel toujours avec le sourire. Pour le pt déjeuner exceptionnel tous fait maison.jus de fruit préparé devant vous. Moi avant ma retraite 43 ans de restauration dans les grande maison lyonnaise c.gastronomie filiale de la maison bocuse. En saison comme manager chez Restoleil. Je peux vous certifié un service exceptionnel très rare à notre époque

L'accueil, la propreté, les services les sourires de l'hôtel de la fossette tout était parfait sans oublier le petit-déjeuner. Félicitation aux nouveaux propriétaires . Je conseille l'hôtel pour le calme. La chambre était parfaite très joliment décorée avec goût. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. CP
