Villa Marguerite Chambres et Table D Hotes de Charme

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Villa Marguerite. Our room was spacious with lovely detail. The nights were quiet with the windows open and roosters were crowing every morning. Delicious breakfast, tasty dinner and wonderful hosts. Cadouin is a special place.

Villa Marguerite is a charming, comfortable and beautifully decorated boutique hotel. While our room was small, there was a spacious sitting room to enjoy with french doors leading to a quiet and private courtyard. We looked forward to breakfast every morning and it was a true pleasure to meet Caroline and Florence, our very hospitable hosts. We hope to be back next year.

Caroline and Florence who own villa marguerite are delightful and very friendly. Full of local knowledge and always greet you with a smile and a chat. Beautiful building in a perfect location. If we could have left 6 stars we would have done. Book your dordogne stay here as you will not be disappointed . Thank you for a lovely stay Tony and Jane

It all started with warm welcome from the hosts. They were outside on their front patio having a glass of wine when we arrived (we knew we were going to like this place!). They offered us a beverage and showed us to our room. After sleeping on a boat and sailing in the canals of southern France, this was a welcome and luxurious stay. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were super clean and well decorated. There were lots of places in the B&B to relax (patio out front, garden out back and a living room on the second floor). We were on a bicycle trip so used it as our home base for 3 days. What a great place to come back to after a long exhausting day! But the BEST thing about this place was the food! We had breakfast and dinner there every day during our stay. We could have eaten elsewhere in town but the food was sooo good after the first meal we decided to eat there exclusively. Thank you so much Caroline and Florence!

It is very difficult to know where to start but we knew we had made the right decision to stay at Viilla Marguerite the moment we walked through the front door. It can only be described as like going back in time to an era of grandeur and decadence that is too often replaced by Ikea furniture these days. This grandeur and decadence was not at the expense of a feeling of home from home though and that combined with Caroline's warmest of welcomes, made the journey up the stairs to the suite that much easier. The suite certainly did not disappoint either and we took a moment to take it all in. Words are difficult to describe our experience over the 4 days and nights we stayed here - warm, comfortable, luxurious, rustic to name a few which still do not do justice to the efforts Caroline and Florence go to, to make you completely at ease in their company. And we cannot finish this without a big shout our for Florence - we spent 28 days in France and the best 2 meals were the ones we had at Villa Marguerite - by far. Why the restaurant is not busier is a complete mystery to us ! Thank you Caroline and Florence - we will be back. John and Anne Marie

Everything was fantastic. The rooms are so inspiring and personal, dinner and breakfast was excellent but foremost, it was so nice to be welcomed by Caroline and Florence. The village Cadouin is small and beautiful with a well known monestary.

I'm not sure I have the words to describe just how beautiful Villa Marguerite is. We stayed here for my birthday and couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Caroline & Florence were exceptional hosts, cooking a lovely meal for my birthday. The property itself is stunning and so very French in look and feel. The bedroom was lovely, with a beautiful view, and everything about it was peaceful and relaxing. We can't wait to return.

As 2 couples, we each had beautiful rooms with ensuite sharing a living area which opened to a lush garden in the back. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh and filling. The evening dinner options with wine were better than the restaurants in town. A very warm and welcoming visit with a cozy atmosphere. Both Caroline & Florence were patient and helpful with our use of the French language, merci!

Une halte obligatoire pour les amateurs de bonne table ! Dans une belle maison finement décorée, on y découvre une cuisine très raffinée et recherchée, accompagnée de sauces savoureuses et élaborées. L'accueil est chaleureux et le service irréprochable. On risque fort d'y retourner ! :-)
