We had a nice time in Chalet Rosa and met some lovely people, the chalet hosts were brillant. We felt the bedrooms, and sitting room were looking very tired, it needs a bit of revamp. My lampshape in our bedroom was litertally falling apart, I asked for a new one and couldnt understand why this one hadn't been thrown away a long time ago. It was replaced, which must of come from another bedroom as it had coffee stains on. One of the couples we met had an issue with their shower door which was hanging off, it was like this all week and luckily they had some duck tape with them and had to use that to mend it! There were 18 people staying the week we were there and the dining room felt really cramped. I think it can sit up to 23 people, which I feel would definately be a squeeze! The breakfast was ok, different eggs every morning, yoghurt, tinned peaches, cornflake, bread/toast, ham and cheese. The afternoon tea was very disappointing with a small cake between 18 of us which needless to say didn't go very far. The evening meal was excellent and I would give this meal 5* cooked by the excellent chef Lee. Helen and Lucy were great ski guides and we enjoyed skiing with them throughout the week. There is pub next door which was great and we went there most nights. The ski storage is by the train station which is about 10 minute walk away. You have to catch a train to the top of mountain which takes at least 25 mins. Everywhere was clean and tidy, I just feel that the accomodation wasnt worth what we paid for it. I have skied for over 30 years and was disappointed, it definatley needs some investment. The Chalet hosts really worked hard to make it an enjoyable holiday for us.
