We only stayed one night, and I so wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is a lovely serene oasis, amid the usual madness of the DR, with a pool, jacuzzi, lush gardens and restaurant tables right by the lagoon. Very restful, with hammocks to rock you to sleep. We had the two bedroom apartment which was very spacious, with a kitchen and balcony with a great sea view. The beds were extremely comfortable. The second bedroom, however, was a little tired, with some paint chipping off the walls, and there was very little storage space. There was a huge wardrobe, but with nowhere and nothing to hang clothes on!! Other downsides … the hotel didn’t provide drinking water to replenish our bottles, so not so green! And the staff don’t have great English … go equipped with Google Translate. And the restaurant had almost nothing for vegetarians. We both had the pasta with tomato and cheese … it tasted like it had come out of a tin and was very stodgy. An almond Magnum saved the day. All that said, still a super place to stay. It’s right opposite the Sand Dunes National Park (NB the park closes at 5pm so no chance of sunset photos) and a short drive to the amazing pink lakes.
