Casas Da Lapa, Nature & Spa Hotel

We spent a blissful, relaxed week at Casas da Lapa and were bowled over by the amazing service. Everyone was so warm and could not do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. Breakfasts were completely delicious - homemade bread, pastels de nata, omlette, fruit etc. We loved the early morning mists, the mountain walks among the goats, the stunning views and daily yoga by the pool. Highly recommend.

It's such a pleasure to rate this extraordinary place where we stayed for 3 nights . The room itself was immaculate and super comfortable. The facilities are in great standard, very well equipped and pleasant I had a back injury and hence was mostly stranded in the room , the owner Maria-Manuel has personally taken me to the hospital and took great care of me during the process including helping me get medications, and the staff bringing food to the room and taking care of all our needs in a very gentle kind and friendly manner. Later when we looked for an easily accessible shower the owner upgraded us to a wonderful suite that has an accessible shower and a beautiful view. I couldn't even dream of such a caring and compassionate service🏆 The staff was super accommodating and friendly and the rest of the amenities were gorgeous In spite of our circumstances we genuinely enjoyed this hotel's extraordinary hospitality and warmth. 🥂 The food was fine and exquisite The hotel has a library , relaxation rooms and many special well-thought facilities. We (family of four, one 10, one 12 year old) stayed 2 nights at Casas Da Lapa in April 2023. The Hotel is located in a beautiful part of the Sierra da Estrella region, and located in a tiny village clinging to the hillside. We had a very nice, warm welcome, and the Hotel itself is very well appointed. Our room was excellent, very cosy and comfortable and we were given drinks and chocolates on arrival. The Hotel is very well appointed, clean, comfortable and comes with outdoor pools (2) which in the summer would be terrific but in April were a bit too cold even for British tourists, and a small indoor pool (which you have to book in advance a slot to use, which we found a bit strange and restrictive, but it was what it was). There is also a cinema (which we never saw being used), a lounge, reading room, dining room and lots of Spa treatments we didn't use. On reflection we think the Hotel probably caters best for older tourists who will take advantage of the cinema, reading rooms, etc and who appreciate quietness and calm. Having two young kids wanting to race around and jump in pools probably didn't quite fit in to the surroundings. Having said all that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, staff were friendly and helpful, the local loop walk was superb, and the dinner and breakfasts were fantastic. Thank you very much to the owners and staff for a very good stay. (one small tip for the Hotel - in the room it would have been great to have more hooks to hang towels and bath robes on. After a swim we had 4 wet towels, and 4 wet bath robes which we ended up having to loop around the stair rail)

Uau, what a place. You need to try it to fully grasp what we mean. Top service and small but meaningful gestures that makes all the difference. A Porto tonic as a welcome drink, afternoon snacks and frigo bar included in the price, the same with interior pool, sauna and Turkish bath. Advisable to book any SPA treatment as soon as possible. Also make sure that you do not have a big car since it can be a mission to reach the hotel through the very narrow streets of the village. Breakfast (included) and any meal inside worth every penny.

Excellent hotel, with good location. Close to many attractions in the area - we spent one day at Piodao. The rooms are big, clean, well equipped and maintained, as all the hotel in general. Food is great, nice spa and facilities, and above all incredible staff!!!! Great experience and very recommended

Wonderful place. I needed a rest and certainly I got a delightful one in this place. The sound of the water running, the sound of birds in an exquisite environment. Local products turned into tasty meals. Friendly employees always ready to make an unforgettable stay. Really relaxed massagem program. To come back for!

This is a very quirky and interesting place. The drive up is incredible- you can hardly believe that cars can fit between the buildings, but it is well signed and there is plenty of parking once you make it up the hill. The hotel is designed like a mid century modern ski lodge - but the decor just misses the mark. The floors are noisy and ceilings low, so you feel like you are very present wherever you walk. The rooms were lovely and beds comfortable and we had a marvellous view. Unfortunately the thermostat wasn't working so it was very warm all night. Staff are beautiful and friendly and the best part of this hotel. We had the set dinner which was yummy - although we were on our own in the restaurant for most of the meal which affects the atmosphere. We didn't use the pool or other facilities. Breakfast was also very nice- a selection brought to the table. Probably a bit overpriced for what you get, but the staff are particularly lovely, especially David. A good place for a stopover.

Não posso dar cinco mas seriam 4,5 se pudesse Excelente localização e staff Pequeno almoço óptimo A retirada do meio ponto justificada por: Sala de jantar inóspita e pouco confortável Necessita no minimo de uma parede pintada numa cor quente e de uma iluminação mais confortável/menos branca O jantar com 5 momentos pretende ser uma degustação de chef mas falta qualidade e paladar. Tivemos uma estadia muito agradável nas Casas da Lapa. Os espaços são bonitos e bem cuidados. Quartos confortáveis e piscinas aprazíveis. Gostaria de realçar a simpatia e o elevado profissionalismo do Sr Nuno, front office. Uma palavra, também, para a equipa da restauração, nomeadamente as funcionárias Isaura, Romilda e Vitória, sempre atentas para que nada falte a quem usufrui deste espaço. Por último e não menos relevante, agradecer o carinho com que receberam o nosso Yorkshire Gaspar. A regressar, logo que possível.
