Eskdale Hotel

The hotel is in the centre of Langholm. The room was comfortable and cosy. We had a front room and there is road noise, but ear plugs are provided, but we did not use them. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good, a good selection on the menu and good sized portions. The staff are friendly and efficient, a special mention to Jacquie, Az and David. We would happily stay again.

Clean throughout, friendly, helpful staff and great food. The room was a good size with a spacious bathroom; toiletries included a shower cap which so many places do not provide any more. An umbrella was available incase we wanted to go out and a bathrobe and pair of slippers were available in the room. The charging block was a nice touch saving us looking for sockets around the room.

Fantastic smartly dressed polite staff with a touch of class. We stayed in a nearby hotel on the Friday night and popped in the Eskdale for a drink, we liked it so much we booked the Saturday night and made a weekend of it. Although we didn’t eat everyone else in the bar reported back to the staff that the food was great, it looked excellent too. We will be back when visiting Langholm!

One night stay at the hotel, the room was smallish but very clean and well appointed. We had an evening meal of fish and chips in the bar which was delicious. Good nights sleep and probably one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had. Special mention to the staff Ryan and Az who could not have been more professional, welcoming and helpful. Would certainly recommend.

Very comfortable and clean staff friendly and efficient. There with a large number of family for a funeral of one member. Very accommodating for an evening meal which was served in a room of our own, 14 or 15 folk all wanting different courses. Suggested that to aid matters we gave our requirements a few days earlier which worked well.

I visited The Eskdale Hotel several years ago and it was interested to see if the same high standards were maintained. Pleased to say, the hotel is immaculate, the staff are smartly dressed and polite, and the meals continue to be of a high standard and reasonably priced. I don't think £ 13.20 for vegetarian risotto with two slices of garlic chiabatta is expensive these days and the meal was decent enough for the money. Also £.4.90 for a pint of bitter is OK considering what city hotels can charge. Note, parking is still free in Langholm, another bonus, and I used the 2 hour disc car park next to the library.
