A beautiful 4 acre dog park on the edge of Elijah Bristow State Park and the Willamette river. Minimum 3 day bookings. For us The Barnyard is a labor of love. We spent most of 2022 and 2023 renovating the property and getting it ready to share. Our vision is for The Barnyard to become a destination unlike any other in the area. We want it to be a unique place where the world can be shut out behind 14 acres of Douglas firs, blackberry bushes and grassy meadows, and yet be close to all that the area has to offer: the University, the mountains, the rivers, the restaurants, and the wineries. We continue to work to make it as comfortable and well appointed as possible without losing the rugged and unfussy nature of the place. Cameras: For added security, there are cameras in several OUTDOOR areas of the property (main gate, driveway, barn, house). Some of these cameras include floodlights, 2 way audio, and motion detection of people, vehicles and wildlife. Super Easy Checkout: We don't require the usual checkout chores like stripping beds, starting laundry, dishwasher loading, emptying trash, washing windows. At checkout time, just grab your stuff and go! About the "Host" fee on the pricing details...This is where VRBO lumps fees like cleaning and pet fees, etc. Our cleaning fee, currently 490 for the entire stay--and the lions share of the Host fee, reflects the higher cost of getting really awesome and thorough, professional cleaners for this rural property.
