Former Australia soldiers of 3 RAR travelled to Kapyong, to commemorate the Battle of Kapyong 24 April 1951 (in 2025). This brilliant accommodation is located a 2 min stroll over the Gyeonggi-do river to the Australia & NZ memorial, where a friendly well equipped convenience store sits below it. The Host property was spotless, as picture online and well maintained. The owner aims to be non invasive (monitoring from Wi-Fi cameras on the outside of the property) and to protect it. He saw our struggles attempting to light fire on a cold night and quickly drove down to assist :). The lovely store holder closed up shop (when we tried to order food) to take us down to his local family restaurant (for authentic Korean food, which to tried to offer for free and we persistently and politely declined, fantastic local hospitality towards us and in general. The host then drove us back into the Gapeyoung Train station when we tried to order a Taxi. Fantastic experience and would stay here again and highly recommend it. It’s in a good location where you can get everything if you drive 5 mins. Swimming pool and Spa is just perfect to play and relax. However the drain in the bathroom stinks so once you open the bathroom door it will spread all over the house so quickly. And there are quite a lot of ***** on the floor and blankets hopefully it gets better. So if those two get fixed, I’d definitely want to visit again. The owner is super kind :)

Nice resort, it is 5km (around 8 mins) away from Nami Island Ticketing Counter. Easy to take Uber Ride from the roadside of Nami Island Ticketing Counter (Tips: try to find the nearest waiting spot pointed in the Uber app). SS Resort itself has a very nice ambience, check in is at the Basement where the Cafe is (open 9am-9pm). Annie is such a lovely lady, our family enjoys hanging out at the Cafe, it has small selections of finger food & nice coffee with reasonable pricing. The fried rice is our favourite. The room is clean with nice linen, the kitchen also well equipped, we can heat up quick meal anytime we want to. There is microwave & fridge available as well. The view from the window is amazing, direct view of the lake & island. It was snowing during our last night stay, we woke up to see the lake half covered with snow, it was so pretty! We’d love to visit SS Resorts again in the future. We stayed at SS7, it has 2 Queen Beds, and the resort also very kind to provide us with extra foldable beds & blankets to cater to our family. The heater also worked well, we were quite warm. One tips: our room happened to be at 2nd floor, it is better to pack smaller bags / duffle bags, so that it is easier to carry when climbing the staircase. Overall we find it still ok, we really like the place.

Hơn nữa, khi tôi sắp trả phòng, họ gõ cửa và nói rằng tôi không được trả phòng trước 11:00. Khi tôi mở cửa, họ đứng canh gác trước cửa, khiến tôi cảm thấy không thoải mái. Khi tôi chuẩn bị rời đi, tôi tự nhủ mình hơi quá đáng vì đã đến muộn 20 phút, điều này thực sự khiến tôi rất bực mình. Chúng tôi chỉ đến muộn một chút vì đang cố gắng dọn dẹp sau khi dùng bữa. ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ Điểm trừ duy nhất là quản lý không có bạn. ㅡㅡㅡ Tuy nhiên, tiện nghi và cảnh quan thì đẹp.
