This converted detached holiday cottage stands in a quiet rural location on the edge of the National Park. It is an idyllic setting, enjoying peace and quiet with only the sound of the nearby stream. It really makes a wonderful home from which to walk direct from the front door in the surrounding countryside. The Dales and the Lakes are both readily accessible, the market town of High Bentham is only 1.5 miles whilst Kirkby Lonsdale with its lovely selection of individual shops (ranging from antiques to designer clothes and jewellery) is 8 miles. Ingleton and its caves are 5 miles. Alternatively dine alfresco and take in the view and the tranquillity. Also within easy reach of the Three Peaks. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Please see ebay for last minute deals or special rates. We provide bed linenand towels and two easy start logs. Clients are asked to bring their own logs etc if they wish to use the log burner. Rural retreat Lovely cottage with a great garden set in a quiet rural location. Everything worked perfectly in the cottage. Some great walks from the door and easy access to The Forest of Bowland.

Stayed here as a quiet base to walk the 3 Peaks. Very peaceful and not too far away. The only negatives for us would be that there were no teabags/coffee, sugar, salt & pepper. We have stayed in many cottages and this has been the only place where there has been nothing at all.

Bentham hideaway for two! Lovely clean cottage, if you are over 6’ tall you might struggle as the space around the toilet in the wet room is very limited. Otherwise a great little place for a couple of days. 2 lots of garden furniture and a log burner in the living room area were a bonus and the small but well equipped kitchen came in handy for preparing a curry!

Cute cosy cottage to relax and unwind The property is well maintained and the quality is of a high standard. Felt like I was in the middle of nowhere but only 10 minutes from civilisation. Sadly it rained and snowed the whole weekend so I didn’t get to enjoy the garden but lovely to see the sheep grazing across from the house. Local walks on your doorstep. The log burner was great, adding to the coziness of the cottage. especially in these colder days. It had everything I needed. Yes the bathroom is small, and the owners have mentioned why but it’s only a small thing when most of your time is spent outside of the bathroom. Owners were great, communicated well and on hand if I needed anything. Would recommend to others.

Perfect Our first stay in Yorkshire in a lovely little cottage in a beautiful place. We found our accomodation cosy, clean and well set out. We were only staying for a weekend but this place was perfect and had everything we needed for our short stay.
