Champelli Palms Apartments

I stayed at this place and it was disgusting. The curtains are mouldy, carpets are filthy, air conditioning stinks and is filthy dirty and the service is appalling. I’ve had to constantly ring for clean towels and fresh sheets. They keep telling me they will come for room service and don’t show up. If they do show up it’s days after expected room service. Please don’t stay here as you will regret it. For the money they charge and to not have at least clean curtains and a cleaned air conditioner…. Is appalling. Please don’t stay here as you will regret it.

Look, if you are a smoker you shouldn't have much issue with your stay here. The apartment is big, and fine for the price. I'm not fussy and won't point out the smaller things. But the one thing I can't stand is the lack of clean air. The other reviews about the smoke smell is true, if anything they are an understatementof how bad it is. The issue is all the air vents in bathroom, toilet and laundry connect to other apartments. The permanent tenants must chain smoke in their rooms which flows through into the other apartments, it's filth. I've have to shut all the doors and pretty much barricade those sections off and have everyone use the ensuite. The bedrooms are opposite these rooms, so even with the doors shut, you can smell it. I've travelled for 30 plus years and never had this happen. Murray seems like a nice bloke but he needs to do something about the vents. Just block them, they do mode damage than good. The stench as you hit the stairwell is brutal. It's like the smokers section at the pub. I seriously can't believe how strong the smell is. In short, if you can deal living like smokers are sitting on your top lip, go for it. I don't get the no smoking signs, what a joke. You can't open the balcony doors to get fresh air as it's just as bad outside. It's like no one here works and just smoke all day. It's disgusting.

We stayed here for 7 nights, and while it's not luxury, it certainly suited us for what we needed for our holiday. We stayed in Unit 11 - which unfortunately faced onto the main road which meant a bit of noise from passing traffic at night/early morning - but we were pretty tired from walking around theme parks all day so it didn't make too much of a difference to us. The unit itself was spacious & clean, and had everything we needed for a stay. The parking was a bonus too. The wifi wasn't working, but no big deal as the kids could hook up to my mobile hotspot. The manager Murray was lovely. The kids loved the pool and spa, which are ideal to cool off after a hot day walking! Downsides: The stairs from the car park to the apartment. These were covered in dated, brown carpet, which unfortunately had a bad smell - may be an idea to rip those up!! Bonus: Right next door is the Aqua building which houses a number of great restaurants - The Peking Duck Chinese restaurant is to die for, and the Lazy Lobster is really nice too!

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at the manager went into my apartment when I had left and went through my things. I have never felt so uncomfortable and violated in all my life it destroyed my Xmas and that if my 2 girls and my partner. He was rude and made us feel horrible
