Magnific Rock - Surf Resort & Yoga Retreat Nicaragua

I stayed at Magnific Rock for 8 days/7 nights in Feb 2024 as a participant in a private yoga/surf retreat. There were 14 of us from the USA and everyone had an amazing time. The rooms are basic, comfortable, clean and offer an amazing view of the ocean. The food was fresh, healthy, delicious and plentiful. Something for everyone including the vegans in our group. Some of us participated in the yoga classes offered by Mag Rock and enjoyed them in addition to the yoga taught by our private retreat instructors. The yoga room overlooks the ocean, has plenty of yoga mats and blocks as well as aerial silks. Some of our group participated in surfing either solo or with a small group lesson. The beach is amazing and great for walking, running and swimming. Every staff member was helpful, friendly and remembered our names which blew me away. There are a couple of small shops within walking distance to pick up snacks or basic supplies. Lots of hostels and restaurants also within walking distance. In-room massages can be arranged for $50 which is a bargain. Nicaragua is a humbling country to visit. Mag Rock fits in perfectly with the vibe of the country.

This is not only a place for surfers but everyone will enjoy looking at the enormous waves of this amazing beach (and views from your room). There are quite different rooms. More hostel style, little apartments with kitchen (older) and brand-new ones (modern, bigger terraces but without kitchen). Food in the restaurant was nice (good wine selection). Enjoyed the yoga lessons with a view on the water. Cleaning is a point for improvement. There was a lot of dust under the beds.

What a magnificent experience! I will never forget such a beautiful time here at Magnific Rock. My girlfriend and I booked 4 nights and five days under the yoga package and added surf sessions on top.

Hub of the area-great place to stay w efficient a/c and smiling friendly staff-wonderful menu/food/cocktails at reasonable prices and a great place to meet people- one of the few spots in the area with night life scene. Views and sunsets are the absolute highlight of this place that offers many layers of awesomeness-surf/yoga/fish/pool/peace of mind.

Not only the accommodation, but the staff is top notch!! From planning, to arriving and being there, I felt extremely taken care of right up until the end. The full panoramic view, is breath taking every second of the day, with a perfect view to keep an eye on the surf, especially while enjoying some of the best food and drinks you can find around. The surf, is the most amazing waves for anyone beginner to advanced. Something for everyone! And the surf instructors are some of the best around. So talented and passionate in what they do. if you ever get the opportunity to stay at Magnific rock and meet Billy, do it!! Billy is not only an incredible surf instructor, but dedicated to making your stay the best it could be! He took us on surf adventures, took awesome pictures and videos and made them into edits and was just overall so kind and genuine. I’d go back in a heart beat!! If you have the time to do a full surf camp, do it with Magnific rock. It’s the place to be! You’ll have a hard time leaving. Thanks to all the Mag Rock staff, hope to be back one day soon:)
