Palas Cerequio

Amazing 🤩 we had such a wonderful time ! We arrived at around 3 hours before the check in time and I had expected to be given a room much later. However, both ladies Erika and Jane round up the cleaning asap and we were given a room in 30-40 min later! We were thankful as we just took a 13 hours flight and 2 hours drive. Jane was kind and offered us coffee and a slice of tart and fruits while waiting for the room. The sugar is much needed 😅 We were given an upgrade and the room was lovely. The bed was comfortable, toilet is clean, sizeable bathtub and a steam room. Enjoyed the bathtub soak in the morning to start the day warm 😁 the toiletries are nice too. Overall our 3 nights of hotel stay has been amazing ! Food - we had good food at the bistro when we were too tired to go out on the first night. Lovely lovely! As we had a welcome gift of a bottle, we ordered cheese on the 2nd night and had fun drinking the bottle with cheese in the comfort of the room. Breakfast was delicious too. Loved the cheese and cold cut corner the most, followed by the yoghurt section where the plums are so yummy ! The resort has a resident dog, Floffy and he is super adorable. He would sit by our table and whine to get our attention when we were eating. He is superbly intelligent and seems to understand when I told him the food is not good for him. This is because he will lie down quietly and still begging. The crew and Floffy have make my stay so warm and enjoyable. Special thanks to Jane and her team to making us feel at home every minute every day 😍 A suggestion - as new visitor, it’s critical to follow the instructions of getting to la morra before getting to their resort 😅 ability to follow instructions is critical. Maybe the crew can do a video of the drive once arriving at la morra and direct the drive to the resort for future guests :) By the way, the resort is super near to Ceretto Chapel (not the winery) We highly recommend this place! No regrets!

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Piedmont to celebrate our 35th anniversary. The staff at Palas Cerequio was wonderful and the view from our room looked right over the vines! We did a wine tasting with Gabriel, and also had dinner there one night. Breakfast on the patio allowed us to interact with other guests. All excellent. Beware of the steep entry road…you really are on the right road!🙂

My husband and I selected this hotel based on the "amazing" tripadvisor reviews. We have stayed in many places around this region and we really looking forward to the stay based on the reviews. What a disappoin**ent! We selected the "suites of the future" because they have a balcony. We were originally booked in the Brunate suite but received an email a couple of weeks prior to our arrival stating that there will be "some" construction noise, so they placed us in the Arborina suite which is 2 rooms away. When I think of "some" noise, I think perhaps a remodel of a room or something not too big of a project. Palas Cerequio's idea of "some" noise is a building of a new building in front of the pool. First off, imagine our suprise to see the huge construction project and then to have to hear the noise (8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) Heavy pounding, cement trucks, etc. On top of that, the pool view is blocked by a wind screen with a picture of the actual view, not so lovely as the website shows. About the area. It is a lovely setting amidst the vineyards and not too difficult to reach, albeit part of the road is dirt so your car gets totally filthy. The room is a "suite of the future" with a bazare layout. The living room, small kitchen, and your tub and shower are on the main floor. However, the window faces the pool with a walkway so there is absolutely no privacy if you kept the drapes open. The bedroom is upstairs with the toilet, sink, closet and bed with a balcony that has a lovely vineyard view (if there were no construction it would be tranquil). However, there is only one side table. Breakfast is included in the rate and it was quite adequate. We ate dinner there one evening, it was fine, nothing to really write home about. Except our server was very nice! The property setting is lovely, but given the new building construction, I would definitely stay away! And there are far better properties and ate a more resonable rate too.

Incredible stay in the Barolo area. Managed by amazing staff. A great place to kick back and relax. Location is perfect for local amazing restaurants ( a 2 min drive away). Bed was comfy, room clean! Fancy bath and shower that make you feel properly spoiled! Also has a wine cellar where you can have wine tasting and buy some local wines. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing stay at Palas Cerequio! We stayed in one of the modern rooms, Aborlina, the room was spacious and comfortable and had all the amenities we could imagine! We especially enjoyed the Turkish bath as we used that and the sauna! The room was tidied and made up immaculately each day. Breakfast was included and they went out of their way to provide gluten free food for me as I have Celiacs. The restaurant is great, delicious wines available, we even used their laundry service which they completed same day!! The hotel is in the middle of fields of Barolo grapes, the views are SPECTACULAR & it’s a great area to stay in! We loved the pool and used it often as well! The best part of the hotel are the people who work there- each staff member was extremely friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to make our stay exceptional. Bravo Palas Cerequio! You provided my husband and I with a fantastic experience we will always remember!! Thank you!

Stunning location, beautiful well kept property snd the friendliest people you could wish for! We arrived in time to enjoy the sunshine with a glass of delicious wine on the terrace. We stayed in for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed every course, accompanied by lovely wine recommended by the fantastic sommelier. Booking directly with the hotel is highly recommended and rewarded with a lovely bottle of Barolo. A fabulous experience and one to be repeated each time we travel through!

Setting - Barolo and its natural beauty. Staff are outstanding - Roberto, Jane and the team are welcoming, friendly and super efficient. Rooms are brilliant - we stayed in the new rooms with Turkish Bath and a shower arranged over 2 floors…. The Michelin starred chef fully lived up to the title - first class food accompanied by a brilliant Sommelier armed with a fantastic wine list. Loved everything about it.

Palas Cerequio is set in the heart of the Barolo region, with really beautifully furnished rooms, an AMAZING restaurant on site and a set of really wonderful staff. I'd say that a bit more attention to detail in terms of communication may help - and for sure, children should not be allowed to stay in certain areas of the hotel. (We were woken up at 6am, by 2.5 hours of non-stop banging and shouting, including banging our door, that the staff did not resolve) I think the value for money is good - considering the uniqueness of the location and the quality of the rooms...steam room, large jacuzzi bath, huge space and great amenities on site (lovely pool, fantastic restaurant and really great wine tasting cellar). We would definitely return - but we would want to know that children are not in the room next to us! I'd also say that a bit more could be done on sustainability...single use plastic toiletries feel a bit 2010 and given the huge droughts in Piemonte, you would think the environment might figure higher up the list!

You'll find yourself in a great countryside environment. Rooms are very comfortable and beautifully designed. Service is caring and attentive. Unfortunately when we were there, the restaurant was on its rest day, but the host recommended us a good place to go in the centre of the village.
