Magic Robin Hood

Okay, so I’ll be as honest as I can about this place. This is our 2nd visit, we went 5 years ago just after it opened back up after the huge fire they had which almost shut the place down. That holiday was fantastic, hence why we booked again. Biggest mistake I ever made. I ignored all the bad reviews because I thought, I’ve been here before and it was decent. How could it have got so bad?? Well… The first day we got there, brilliant. Nice quick check in, room was clean and ready. The pool atmosphere was good. That’s where it stopped. The next morning was okay until later in the day where the sickness started. We were all sick for 2 days. We built up enough energy to go out and enjoy some evening entertainment and food on site after a couple of days and thought we could start out holiday again from there.. but nope.. the next day it hit us again. This time with vengeance.. We didn’t leave the hotel room again until our departure. £2800 spent on a week being pretty much ill the whole time stuck in a cabin. These guys don’t know the meaning of the work hygiene. P.s. yes that is picture of ham and cheese left to fester in the sun before it’s slapped on 2 pieces of bread and served up to an unsuspecting child. Should be ashamed of themselves to let this level of hygiene go on in their establishment.

This is my second first 5 years apart, first was amazing this visit not so much, the resort badly needs an upgrade. Food was fine. Staff all nice and work hard. Pool was ice cold couldn’t use it for the week. Our bed in lionheart lodge 3125 was 2 single beds pushed together, as hard as a rock. I asked reception 3 times for extra pillows and did not get them. It’s completely over priced now. Definitely wouldn’t return. Entertainment is the same as what goes on in tropical bar in Benidorm for free. Kids club is for small children.

We stayed in garden lodges and it was nice location as we only had neighbours from two sides. But we could hear them pooping as walls were paper thin. I had to complain to one neighbour as their kids were running and screaming until 01.00 in the morning. Was impossible to sleep. I would definitely recommend security to drive around and see if people are meeting 22.00 curfew. Food very poor quality. No or very limited healthy options. Drinks cheap and very poor quality. Foam party was good fun. Great pools for small kids and playground next to it was perfect. Our 4 year old son loved it. Kids shows started at 10.30 p.m. it was too late for small kids. Our son fell asleep watching. I think should be 8pm the latest. Lots to do for kids to keep them busy. It is probably nice to stay for max 3 days in this place for experience but not longer. The main thing I liked was that we had space outside our lodge and jacuzzi that we used daily. Way better than hotel room with balcony. Other than that we wouldn't go back there as it didn't impress us at all. It is overpriced and overrated, far from what you pay for.

Just returned from a 7day stay at Magic Robin Hood. The only fault I have is the cabin we had (2 bed Nottingham) was not big enough. The shower is so small! And the double bed for me & husband was tiny. But the beds for our 2 kids (age 4& 8) was perfect. And to be fair we didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin so it wasn’t a big issue. The place is massive & has lots for the kids to do - they were never bored! Pools are great and Lifeguards always vigilant. Foam party was brilliant fun! We didn’t go ultra and glad we didn’t as it would have been wasted on us. The kids aren’t big eaters and well we always managed to find something to eat! We did take 2 trips into Benidorm on 2 evenings and ate out. The cleaning staff were helpful & beds made every day etc. the reusable cups is a great idea. Kids loved the chocolate fountain at dinner time! The WiFi is non existent tho. We will definitely return and book a larger cabin. Thanks for a great week.

. A good hotel with great facilities for all ages. Pros : Lionheart lodges were spacious, we had an adapted Lodge. Jacuzzis were a great addition. Large resort Ice creams, ice pops and various food and snacks on offer. Lockseys lagoon pool was great, and has a swim up bar. Que was never too long for the bar, however Robin hood snack cafe took almost an hour to receive some toasted sandwiches. Water slides were great for the older kids. Lionheart buffet was much quieter for breakfast, would recommend using this facility. Maintenance and support were great, with anything reported via app seen to immediately. The app was helpful for booking things. The staff in the parade were excellent with the children. Themeing is fantastic. The UAI is worth getting if you're planning day trips and want to visit other hotels. Food was great, plenty of drinks on offer and great pools for the kids. It's not worth wasting a day waiting to be served at maui beach club so don't use this if you're UAI. Cons: Floats are not allowed in most areas and we therefore didn't use them. Sunbeds were available but it can be tricky to get a duo suitable spot to keep an eye on kids. Food is varied and plenty of drinks available, however the snack trucks are not open at times where we would have preferred them to be and the ques could be very slow. We also found it odd that there was no transport to the beach or aqua Natura. We used taxis, organised by a lady outside reception instead. No golf buggies we're available at the time we were travelling home to help us with the luggage. Check in was slow, we requested cabins together but they were not together. Tried to use the UAI visit to the Maui gastro beach resteraunt but was seated and never severed drinks or food. Staff were not approachable and very rude. We left due to lack of service. At times it was tricky to work out where entertainment etc would be shown. Easyjet package holiday: would recommend a private transfer as it took us almost two hours to arrive.

We stayed here for 4 nights after having to move from our original hotel - due to no fault of our own. To start, the reception and check in staff are lovely and friendly and they do check in with you throughout your holiday to check everything is okay. The pools are really good - lots of choice and the thing I really liked about this hotel was that there were lots of life guards watching every part of the pool and they were making sure everyone was okay and no one pushed in the queue and were always friendly with the children. The pool opened from 10am and we could always get a sun bed, although some do leave towels on the best ones. Food - good with lots of variety and most the time we never had to queue to get in and or wait long for food. The snack bar wasn’t very nice - but that was only open a few hours. The only thing with the food outlets was the time they were supposed to open - they never opened on time - every time we were left waiting around 10 minutes. The canteen also had a lot of birds flying around inside and bird poo on the side which put us off a bit. All inclusive drinks - lots of choice and variety. Cocktails were ok - were premixed and the cup situation isn’t good - so on your first day you buy every one in your party a plastic cup - they they reuse to fill your drink with. So if you loose your cup or leave at pool or forget it you have to buy a new one. Entertainment - for us this let the hotel down. One night we watched a magic show and it was in Spanish - no translating to English. So we’re left guessing what was going on. They have a children’s party for an hour I think from 8-9pm. There are lots of extras available to book like lazer quest and rock climbing which the kids loved and the staff were lovely there. Rooms nice and just what we needed. Children aged 13 and 10 loved that they had their separate bathroom. We wouldn’t stay again, because it wasn’t what we had booked, we got moved here but only because of location - we wanted to be near the beach and shops and this is a bit isolated but it was a nice place for the 4 nights and if you like to just stay on site it would be perfect.
