Amazing service from check in to the attention to details. Good breakfast on the terrace, lovely way to start the day!

This hotel is in a great location. Ferrys starts next door and services are nearby. Laundry, scooter rental, restaurants, ATM. The hotel is clean and luxuriously decorated. The service was especially warm, really nice, helpful and happy people in the reception! You can rent beach towels from the hotel and there is a sunbathing area on the roof of the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is really good. The room is quite small but functional. The bed is good as is the pillow. The bathroom is clean but there is a little bad air conditioning and the shower cubicle is quite small. The room has adjustable air conditioning and a good refrigerator. The room is really clean, in good condition, (number 100), and the balcony is in a location where it's nice to watch the cars coming and going to the ship and people passing by on this busy street.

Lovely hotel on sea front in Maddalena town. Friendly staff , lovely breakfast on terrace overlooking working harbour. Room was large, clean and comfortable

They don’t answer phone they cancel our first reservation and gave us back just half of the money then we had to book again full price. They don’t speak one word of English impossible to talk to. They don’t provide a 4 star service actually no room service at all. They are very rude and they make you feel very uncomfortable. Solarium area and patio they were closed and left with a bunch of furniture and maintenance stuff all around. Disgusting I’m sure that even a 2 star Hotel could compete with this one. They don’t help at all. Breakfast it was few random things put together not even a menu to choose a drink we had to take what they choose. Worse experience ever even if we bought the best room JUNIOR SUITE. Don’t waste your money here it’s a FAKE 4 STAR they still have in the window seal awards 2012/2016 but definitely not now. The bath gave us a huge sore wound because it was faulty and they did nothing to it. Do not go here. Not even a bath robe no shampoo or whatsoever present.

Loved this hotel! The hotel staff is so kind and helpful and the rooms are very nice. It is in a good location across from the ferry port and everything you need from gelato to a cash machine is right there. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Sardinia.

Very well located, right in front of the ferry port. The breakfast buffet was complete and delicious. There is free parking close to the hotel. The rooms are confortable and spacious and is cleaned daily.

Just a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back to visit La Maddalena. The staff and service was fantastic and the breakfast included had everything one would want to start your day exploring the island.

we stayed In this hotel for 1 night. It s location is perfect (in the center and near the port). The staff is friendly and multilingual. The breakfast thought is a bit limited , but it will do the trick. The room was so comfy and the bed was a delight.

Excellent choice for our stay on Maddalena. No issue being close to the ferry dock. Great views from our room and at breakfast, which has everything we needed to get going win the morning. Special thanks to the reception for taking care a small problem we had, totally unrelated to the hotel. Great price, for location, service, room quality and services.

Great deal for a stay in April. Wonderful front desk person named Marialouisa. The breakfast buffet was very nice, especially since it was included! The hotel is definitely not four stars—a solid three stars is accurate. Our biggest issue was that they locked the heat at 78 degrees. We asked the front desk about this but they said they couldn’t do anything and we should keep the window open. Problem with that is the winds on the island can be extremely strong and it was blowing up to 40mph during our stay. Plus ferries dock right outside the hotel every ~5 mins so there’s a lot of noise when you keep the window open. The front desk said they don’t turn on the AC until the summer months so keep in mind that your room may be 78 degrees in non-summer months! We loved the town and the island and overall the hotel was a good deal for its April pricing.

WE are Canadian travellers who spent two nights at Hotel Excelsior during our vacation in Sardinia. We could see the hotel from the ferry and after a short walk we were welcomed by a charming hostess at Hotel Excelsior. The accommodation was superb, with a sea view room overlooking the harbour. Our room was very spacious and very clean. We cannot say enough about the staff at the hotel. They were pleasant and always willing to assist us with tour suggestions and information about La Maddalena. A beautiful island! We enjoyed staying by the harbour, and being part of the centre of town. Many restaurants in the area and lots of walking routes along the harbour to enjoy. The breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start our day. Lots of choices for breakfast. We hope to return to Sardinia in the future and visit th Hotel Excelsior again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

This hotel is located perfectly in front of the harbour. Rooms are fine, breakfast is ok. The staff is excellent. Special thanks to Marialouisa in reception. She is a very pleasant and professional employee. Hold on to her!! 😊
