Staff was very welcoming and gracious. Property was well maintained and clean. There were good choices for breakfast. There was a nice view of the Arenal Volcano from our room. There were birds singing in the garden.

I loved the layout of the lodge. There were various areas with a variety of comfy furniture for you to read a book, gather with other travellers to hear their experiences in La Fortuna, reflect in the gardens or sit with a beverage and enjoy the view of the Arenal mountain. The staff were incredible! The lodge provided umbrellas which we needed to use everyday during our stay. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The rooms were small but we had everything we possibly needed like nice beds, comfy couch, fridge, coffee maker, TV options and great wifi. I would highly recommend this place!

Really cute little hotel. Well maintained and clean. Breakfast included was a plus. Easy to walk the town from the location yet tucked away for a peaceful stay. When we arrived we were escorted to a room with no window…except for the small ventilation window in the bathroom. I asked for a different room which was unavailable. I asked if other rooms had no windows. She said no just this one. I was not a happy customer. It felt unsafe to only have one way to leave a room in case of emergency. I inquired about getting my money back so I could move to a different hotel. No answer back. We stayed 4 nights. We were offered a room on the second night that had a window that didn’t open and overlooked a wall. We declined. On the last night we were offered another room which we took. The large window overlooked a hallway. I’m not sure which room or rooms they use for advertisement, but the view was not what I was expecting.
Nice hotel….but inquire about the rooms and windows.

The Staff here are AMAZING! We stayed for only one night before returning to SJO airport. We needed assistance with transportation and the staff here bent over backwards to make calls and help us. This property is clean and has a nice breakfast. The ONLY negative I would give it - the noise. If you cannot sleep with earplugs, you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong booking La Fortuna Lodge.

Very nice Boutique hotel. Breakfast made fresh for you each morning, lovely sitting areas out side rooms to enjoy the view, read, play cards, meet other guests.

Excellent staff made this a very pleasant experience in a cute smaller hotel in walking distance to downtown. Very accommodating to special needs and always felt safe. Great stay, thanks!

The front desk staff were very helpful, with the exception of one person on the first day afternoon staff who forgot to call a taxi for an early morning pick up for us the next day. What was really disappointing in this hotel however was how noisy it was sleeping at night. Not only was there noise from traffic and people partying across the street or walking nearby until late at night. There was also the rooster crowing every morning repeatedly starting around 4 AM. As if that were not enough it was also a noise from a large semi truck going down the road outside in the very early morning a couple of times. It was really difficult to get a good night sleep all three nights we stayed there with these repeated loud noises, starting in the evening and occurring repeatedly throughout the night.

We stayed one night and enjoyed our stay. It was a little hard to find as we came in late and it was dark. The check in process was easy and everything was explained well. Plenty of food options within a short walk. Breakfast was wonderful and good options. We would stay here again

Very nice small property, similar to a B&B rather than a large hotel. Super nice and helpful people, and the included breakfast was fantastic. The only negative was noise from the surrounding partiers at hostels in the evenings, and the local dogs barking.
