Stunning hotel, lovely welcome from staff at reception. Tidy rooms, friendly staff, brilliant entertainment. Indian and Italian restaurant as well as buffet. Beautiful jetty bar with steps into the sea. Food cooked fresh with good variety. Activities through the day, shops on site which accept card payments. The hotel was perfect. Loved the food and all the drinks aswell as all the attentive staff from all sectors. Big shout out to Adam from the bar and Basim from the spa (dla polakow powiedz haslo Szakul zeby dostac discount na massaze ). Loved the monkeys, loved the jetty bar with the pier. There is high and low tides which I personally find really amazing as I've never seen that happen before in so little time. This is all shown on a board by the reception and jetty bar so you know the best time for swimming. I can't fault anything apart from the power cuts and not air con occasionally but that's not on the resort. We had a letter stating the tanzanian government will have powercuts. The hotel was aware and provided free transfers for day trips and extra bits if you were more bothered by this. We personally really loved and enjoyed the place. Highly recommend and will return❤️

The most amazing hotel, probably one of the best holidays I’ve had, the hotel grounds are immaculate, the people are so friendly , we had a deluxe swim up room with sea view, absolutely amazing reserved sunbeds next to pool and on the beach definitely worth the upgrade , the food was good always hot and tasty, really good drinks , the monkeys are adorable, I enjoyed it so much already booked again for next year , thank you Reef and Beach resort for the most perfect holiday

The hotel is built around mangroves and the monkeys could be seen all over the hotel which always made our day. It has an authentic feel and it was nice to see locals in the water harvesting seaweed and Maasai on the beach. There was a Maasai show one evening which was great fun to watch. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom / dressing area was huge. We were located near the lobby and there were no problems with noise. The hotel is beautiful and we were honestly awed as we walked around the hotel. We spent a lot of time on the jetty on the days we stayed in resort and had no problems finding sunbeds even when arriving at around 10. The jetty bar is great and a lovely place to spend an evening. It was windy at times but didn’t impact things too much. Admittedly we found the main restaurant did lack variety compared to other all inclusive hotels we stayed at but we always found something to eat. There is another restaurant on site that was payable and we visited twice for dinner while we were there. Fantastic service and food both times. The lobster (around $25) was huge. Staff are great and can’t do enough to help. We had several excursions during our stay which we all enjoyed and spent some time in Paje which is a short taxi ride from the hotel at a cost of around $20. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Zanzibar and this hotel!

Home a week and we miss this hotel so much. From the friendly staff who could never do enough to help and the beautiful surroundings, I don’t know where to compliment first. The room - we were in a garden deluxe room in the new block, it was huge, comfortable and always kept immaculate. Air-con was perfect as we could set the temperature to just the right level. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The restaurants were great with a good selection of foods. Compliments to the chefs who produced great meals every day. Special shout out to the Baha’i restaurant where the food and staff were always amazing. The bars were like little oasis, each with their own vibe and always with a smile and a welcome. The grounds are kept impeccably well and again, the ground staff always had a smile and a ‘jambo’. The trips were well organised, we only did the Stonetown and Prison Island trip but we spoke with other guests who enjoyed some of the other excursions. The whole feel of this resort is to ensure that you are relaxed…..it does this perfectly. There were always loungers somewhere, regardless of where we decided to stop and I can’t finish this review without commenting on the beautiful family of red colobus monkeys which live on the resort. They do not pay much attention to guests but will sit next to you, or on you (as we witnessed) it is such a special sight to have these cute things living alongside you. There have been negative comments about the beach, it is not just an expanse of white sand, there is seaweed grown and farmed by the local ladies and the tide goes out for miles and then comes right in so you can swim straight off the steps of the jetty. We found it amazing. Finally, there were no “beasties”, mosquitoes or anything else that bites…..this is possibly the first holiday anywhere tropical we have been that we haven’t had some sort of bite. The guys on the beach don’t hassle you, they will say hello, ask where you’re from and offer to show you things or sell you things but they are really friendly and understand if you want to be on your own. Oh…..and take a wee trip on the small wooden fishing boats that sit just off the jetty, it’s a wonderful experience sailing along the coast a little.
