How was Sheraton Hotel Kuching and if that’s the question, it would be…
CONS:
1. Bedsheet Stains: This was a big disappointment. Finding stains on the bedsheets really diminished the comfort and luxury I expected from a Sheraton.
2. Messy Room: Although the room appeared tidy at first glance, it lacked the meticulous attention to detail you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. It simply wasn’t up to Sheraton’s standard.
3. Incomplete Room Amenities: Certain essentials like body wash were missing, which was inconvenient and something I wouldn’t expect to encounter at a hotel of this caliber.
4. Long Response Time from Guest Services: There was a frustrating delay in getting a response from guest services. Waiting for a long time to have a simple query answered negatively impacted the overall experience.
5. Room and Main Entrance Lacking Sheraton Quality: The room itself, along with the main entrance, felt quite underwhelming. Neither conveyed the typical Sheraton luxury I had anticipated.
PROS:
1. Good Breakfast Spread: The breakfast had a good variety, although it carried the usual Marriott tastes, which didn’t particularly stand out.
2. Great Location: The hotel’s location in the heart of Kuching was perfect for exploring the city and easily accessing local attractions.
3. Friendly Reception and Staff: The receptionist and guest assistants at both the main entrance and restaurant were welcoming and helpful, providing excellent service during my stay.
Overall, while there were some positive aspects, I found the overall experience to be lacking in key areas that are expected from a Sheraton property. I hope they address these issues to improve the guest experience in the future.
