Checked into KL SL during Christmas holidays with my parents. My mother had a lot of "insect" bite on days 1. She thought it was mosquito bites. On 2nd night she fled pain at the neck's area, woke up and scratched. She found a small red bug on her pillow. Smashed the bug and with blood stained the pillow. Immediately searched the bedding and found another tiny dark color bug. Reported to duty manager next day after we back from outing . The duty manager stated the hotel will investigate. Though been offered to change room, my parent turned down as we had to wake up at 4:30am and catch transport to KL international airport.. Today my parent received the feed back email which just mention hotel investigation found bug issue outcome is "negative" only without addressing "guest concern" .
The worst part was dining experience at its "Authur's Bar and Grill." We all ordered steaks . I ordered medium rare which was fully cooked. My parents ordered medium which also fully cooked. I had my steak returned and re-stressed "medium rate" . When the 2nd serve steak came it was "RARE" . One thing we noticed when cut the steak the flesh color was white. (Suspect the steak was poorly de-frosted) Gave up! My parents spoke with the waiter who served us on our discontent with its cooking quality. At the end I notice my dad still paid the waiter 50 RMB tips. For me ,will not pick KL Shangri-la should we visit Malaysia again.
