Emerald Hotel

The stay at Emerald exceeded my expectations. The appertment was rather new and very clean. Staff was nice, but especially Maria made the trip really good. She is extremely helpful with for example booking taxi’s and she is a very kind person in general. Would definitely recommend going here :)

I went here with my parent and younger brother. On the first day everything was very nice, that was until we came back to our room on the second day. After some time in the pool, we came back and our room had been made by the cleaners. Everything was great until my brother started crying that his teddy bear was missing. We thought nothing of it and thought he might have just misplaced it in the room. After the billionth time of searching we went down to reception to ask if anything was turned in. The receptionist hardly listened to what we said and simply said “nothing like that happens here” and we went back to our room. We started to think the cleaner had possibly taken this teddy bear. Our assumptions were confirmed a few days later. We were getting ready to go out to dinner and we heard a scream from one of the other rooms, followed by some crying. We thought it could have been some kids playing. As we walked to our restaurant we saw a girl crying outside and her family looking very worried. As we were at the restaurant, we forgot something and went back to the hotel. As we reached the apartment we saw a police car and police men talking to the family outside. We waited for an opportunity to ask the family if everything was alright as it seemed quite worrying. As they finished taking to the police officer we overheard the police officer saying “again???” And rolled his eyes. We asked the family if everything was alright and they spilled everything. They had not bought a safe for their valuables and all of a sudden €800 plus phones and devices were gone. We because very suspicious over all the staff from then on. We made sure to lock anything valuable away. Each day we asked the receptionist if she had heard of anything, always a no. Today, we were leaving and I overheard some people telling the receptionist that right after their room was cleaned, a necklace had gone missing from a table. The receptionist claimed she never heard of anything. If you read all of this I am very grateful. I am currently at the airport writing this WITHOUT the brown teddy bear. We never got the bear back. This is a warning! Beware the cleaners
