JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge

The JW Marriott Masai Mara was an unforgettable experience, curated with exquisite taste in food and service. The friendly staff here make for a memorable stay, always treating you like family. The best service we have encountered in our travels bar none. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the cleaning staff is top notch. I would like to share a special thank you to our dedicated driver/new friend (Jacob), dedicated server Killion who always made every meal special, front desk staff but specially Milton who made us feel so welcomed, and the kindness of all the staff in the Canon studio. We had an incredible time at the JW Marriott Masai Mara and highly recommend this resort to everyone!

Where do I start? If you're reading this, like me, you're doing your research. Believe it ALL. I actually felt like I knew some of the staff before arrival, because of their reputation by fellow reviewers. It's rare to leave a resort where you bond with so many people (staff and guests alike). Come here if you want a transformative experience, because there's nothing like it. The team seem to have one objective - make each and every day perfect. There's nothing they haven't thought of, right down to the Canon camera on loan. It was also our first JW Marriott and I suppose that's where they add a "Spafari" touch. You won't sacrifice in any way with everything included, down to laundry. Anyone assigned to you will make you feel like the only guests there. Diana, Leshan, Victor, Michelle, John, Elizabeth and of course, Paul, we miss you! Milele :)

My husband and I just left the JW Masai Mara and wow! We are blown away. We had a relatively short stay as we had gone to the Seychelles first but we still saw SO MANY animals. From the receptions, to the restaurants and the guides, you truly feel like family. The food is fantastic and plentiful. Josiah and Victor at the bar are so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were nicely appointed and always tidy. Agnes, our room attendant was fantastic. Lastly, Eric, our guide truly went above and beyond. He knew we had a short time and took us on longer game drives to make good use of our time. I will attach photos below mostly taken with the resort’s supplied Canon cameras.

This was hands down the best experience we have ever had with a resort! Every single team member was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They truly make you feel like family. We lost a beloved pet back home while we were here & every team member who heard about it found us to give us condolences or to see how we were doing - it was honestly overwhelming, in the best way, to feel so cared for. Our guide, Lucy, was absolutely incredible & made sure we had the best time - she has the biggest heart & you can tell she deeply loves and respects the animals and loves what she does. The tents were spacious & comfortable. The lodge’s common areas were also spacious & comfortable and everything was beautifully decorated. The spa was incredibly relaxing. The food, the landscape, the special touches, like twice daily game drives, sundowner, and bush breakfast, made for an unforgettable adventure. The resort can also schedule hot air balloon rides for you, which was an excellent experience & gave a different viewpoint to see the Savana. It was also an honor to have the opportunity to visit a local Masai village to learn more about the Masai people and their culture - an incredibly welcoming community with the kindest people. I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience and this lodge - I would recommend them to everyone!

Our stay at this lodge in the Masai Mara was truly unforgettable. It was far more than just a hotel — it was a deeply immersive experience that elevated our entire trip. I genuinely cannot imagine having stayed anywhere else; it was perfect in every way. From the beautifully designed accommodations and delicious cuisine to the thoughtful touches throughout the lodge, every detail was carefully considered. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. The cameras provided from the Canon studio and staff to help you take the perfect photos was an amazing addition to the safaris. Some of the most memorable moments outside of the safari included breakfast in the bush, sundowners with breathtaking views, and meaningful cultural experiences. One highlight was our visit to the Maa Trust, where we learned about their work supporting local communities. This was something I had a particular interest in and our guide was able to make an accommodation to schedule this for us, again going above and beyond. I was able to purchase honey produced through a beekeeping initiative — a powerful and inspiring program that helps women support their families. I’m especially excited to use this honey to make the iconic Dawa cocktail and share a piece of this journey with friends back home. This lodge made our Masai Mara experience truly extraordinary, and I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic, luxurious, and enriching safari adventure.

I have been around some properties around the world but the JW at Masai Mara has to be the best I’ve been at Everything is meticulously taken care of (in an almost corporate way) yet you have the warmth of the staff to make it feel homely The staff truly lives by above and beyond - I came here to propose to my long time girlfriend and it was an experience of a lifetime Special shout out to Tanuj, Brian, Kennedy and Eric - yall the MvPs 💪
