Atlantica Thalassa Hotel

We are a couple away for 5 nights. Was looking for a hotel that was not too lively and full of kids/teenagers. Happy to say we landed smack on it. This hotel is a small hotel only 350 rooms and is outside any towns or centres. Feels like you’re in your own little bubble here which again, we were happy with. Maybe it was the time of year we have come but it was perfect for us. Not busy and not dead. A good atmosphere around the pool and nightly entertainment without the queue’s at dinner times and the bar. There was enough table’s to easily sit down for meals in the restaurant and at the entertainment areas. Below are the goods and the bad Good Rooms comfortable with soft beds and pillows. Rooms clean and cleaned 5 times a week. Showers good and powerful Fridge in room comes with a water. Once turned on it’s a good cold fridge. Good air con. Modern units and work well. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool, you didnt even have to get up early and save a bed with your towel. Kids pool and big pool good temps. No freezing water temps. Fresh waters and not salty. Life guard there if needed. Ball games and inflatables allowed. Towels swapped at the reception, dont lose a towel however as a charge occurs. Pool bar and snack bar are good. Snacks are really nice(remember its all inclusive so dont expect Jamie Oliver food) Ice cream is a help yourself, many different flavours. Beer tastes nice albeit in small plastic glasses If you like strong spirits in cocktails, you will get it here. I personally found the food at the restaurant to be really nice. Better than some 5 stars I have stayed in. Lots of different tastes to enjoy(again remember its all inclusive, so dont expect Mitchelin star’s standards)but very tasty and variety. I would say the breakfast have some work but im fussy about my english breakfasts. Lunch and dinner times are good. Entertainment team seemed good with the kids that were there. Football/valley ball/darts etc. BAD Its a greek island so having to put toilet paper in a metal bin is not something we are accustomed to. Size of drinks are annoying and beer always half beer and half head. Have to order several at a time. Ordering pepsi max but getting pepsi happens a lot. If you have kids there is nothing on tv in English apart from BBC news to keep them entertained between showers etc. Thats standard I guess in Europe. Around the pool the water can find its way to the edge of the sunbeds, so be careful leaving bags on the floor, they can get wet. Honestly, I cant see anything else wrong with this hotel for what we wanted anyway. The stage with seats never got used but I guess in peak season it may do. Really happy with the stay, we had a lush time.

Just got back from our 12th visit to the Thalassa. And already looking forward to trip number 13! Yes you read that right - we’ve been here 12 times! And to be honest; what’s not to like? Especially when somewhere feels like home. The staff here were superb as always. The reception team lead by Edyta were all extremely helpful as always too. The new head of cleaning was very friendly and approachable - as were all the cleaners. Thermis was always a joy to speak too daily! Thank you for allowing me to practice my Greek with you! The bar staff were all very pleasant too… as were the kitchen / restaurant staff. Dionisa and the team are always so warming and friendly. You guys are all a credit to the resort. We really do appreciate your hard work. A special mention also to the chef this year too - as the food this season was the best in my opinion for a very long time. There was always something delicious to eat and a wide variety for all dietary requirements. Please keep the chef at the Thalassa for as long as possible!! My family and I met so many lovely co-guests too this year. Lots of repeaters and lots of people that would come back again! This speaks volumes. And a large reason behind this is the entertainment team that really got the guests involved and engaged. Charmaine, Kat and Petr were brilliant. The daytime activities were fun and the night entertainment was spot on too. Great job guys! Another special mention too for Teeta and Tony in the shop - again just so incredibly friendly and helpful to speak too daily. Overall, this was another fantastic holiday — probably the most relaxing one we’ve had here. And this is exactly why we came. See you in September! Yasssu!

Having just spent a week here I can truly say this has being the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.I have no negatives whatsoever the restaurants are clean and well stocked with great choices of food and self service drinks the swimming pool is clean as is the whole hotel the staff are pleasant and always welcoming rooms are modern with a fridge hairdryer and kettle aircon is great when you’ve had enough of the heat evenings are catered for with a kids club and evening entertainment for families
