White Rock of Kos Hotel - Adults Only

Can only highly recommend this beautiful Hotel on the top of the hill with the amazing view. Even though we only paid for Room and Breakfast, because we arrived late in the evening, the staff had prepared a cold meal for us which was very appreciated. We stayed in a room with a Jacuzzi which had the most beautiful view overlooking Kefalos and the sea beyond. All staff were so friendly and helpful, we felt so welcomed. A big mention to the Bartender Dimitris, who was a fountain of knowledge and gave us some good tips on places to visit. All in all the Hotel and Staff were amazing. One tip I would give is, to hire a car as it’s a good way to see lots of the island and get out and about. The only recommendation for the hotel would be a different selection of breakfast would make it an outstanding hotel. Because after 10 days it felt like the breakfast was always the same every morning.

Our second visit to this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect - the room, the views, the food and most importantly the staff who couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay so memorable. Going again next year and we cannot wait 😊

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings. Very peaceful and relaxing. Rooms clean and spacious. Staff very professional with excellent etiquette and very pleasant and accomodating Mariola and Alex were very helpful and always cheerful as were all of the staff. We have never felt so well looked after. Only negatives were drinks quite expensive and the hotel shuttle also costly especially as it was very much a requirement in the evenings given the location of the hotel. We felt the shuttle service, although very efficient, should have been cheaper in view of the position of the hotel from the main town.

Okay I have to start by saying that the staff are brilliant, friendly and courteous (as we found everyone in that side of the island to be). So my review is not reflective of the staff, it is merely a critical eye on a resort that claims to be 5 star. First of all - a spa is advertised - they don't have one. There was some story about a woman being off etc. but the fact is - they do not have the spa pictured on their website. It's located in the town somewhere - don't know, didn't go. Parts of facility strive to be 5 star but come up short, namely - poor wardrobes, doors that don't close properly and most importantly - the air con. The air con is not what it needs to be. Again I'll stress I am being picky - but 5 star is 5 star and you expect these little things to be better. The gym is average but for a week on holiday it does the job to be fair. The biggest issue we had was the location to be honest. It's up at a height so 4 of the 7 days when you're "relaxing" at the pool - prepare to get absolutely battered by the wind. Genuinely - it's not enjoyable. The other issue with location is - to walk to the town you have to take a dirt track that goes through somebody's home / farm. They themselves were lovely as per the way of people on the island, but the track to town just leaves an awful sour taste in your mouth. I know, I know - how is that the hotels fault? - well imo a 5 star hotel should be trying to make the experience top class. They do offer a bus to town but it's a tenner a head. (It's less than 2km) Overall I was just a bit disappointed with the resort. The people were lovely but the facility is at a push 4 star! The town - I couldn't speak more highly of. The people are so nice, the quality of food etc is excellent and if you are after a relaxing, low key break - go to this area!

My husband and I visited for our 30th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. The views were spectacular. From the moment we arrived Anastasia and Alexi on reception welcomed us as if we were family visiting. This was the reception we got from all the staff. The waiting staff were all fabulous and super knowledgeable about the area. A special mention to Jenny who kindly took me to the next village for some items I wanted; Sevi who was so beautiful and gave the best hugs and Maria and the two Karerina's. Our holiday certainly wouldn't have been the same without these beautiful, kind and friendly ladies brightening each day. The food was super fresh and presented beautifully. There was no problem getting a sunbed and we went the first week in August so we expected it to be busy. Dimitrix was the best barman and put the world to rights with us, such a lovely man. And not forgetting George the guy on the pool bar. We hired a car for a couple of days, this is a must to see the island and when we return, which we will, we will hire a car for the whole period. Thank you to every single one of you for making our stay also very special. We certainly did not want to leave this beautiful haven.

This is a really belated review, but thought I ought to put down what a great time we had at White Rock. This was our second visit. We stayed in one of the Signature Pool Suites which had a direct sea view. The pool is huge for a personal pool. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I have to say we previously stayed in one of the Pool Experience rooms and there is a night and day difference. Had we not wanted to venture out we wouldn't really have needed to leave the room - it was large with a separate lounge area, with a terrace and loungers by the pool. We have booked a return visit this summer. In the evenings the bar area is enclosed by windows which rattle a lot in the wind - it would be lovely to have evening bar service out by the main pool to enjoy the warm evenings.
