Naivasha Kongoni Lodge was one of the lodges and camps that we stayed at on a 19 day safari through Kenya and Tanzania booked through Tapestry of Africa. We were a group of three, a couple and a single, and we found ourselves staying in a huge two bedroom, two ensuite ‘house’. It was gigantic and excellent! King size beds in each room. Both had large newly renovated bathrooms with large showers and nice bathroom products. The furniture reminded us oldies of being in real life The Flintstones. The lodge has a large restaurant and bar that overlooks a really nice pool. Unlike most lodges and camps that we stayed at, Naivasha Kongoni is a la carte. The food was very good. The drinks menu was large although some requests were lost in translation. What you got when requesting wine was more miss than hit. Breakfast was a la carte as well and very good even if everything that was delivered didn’t necessarily match its description. The scrambled eggs really needed the rest that was supposed to come with them. Naivasha Kongoni Lodge was another lodge with wonderful smiling staff, great accommodation and great food. We definitely recommend the lodge if you are travelling to Lake Naivasha and Crescent Lake Wildlife Sanctuary, either on an organised safari, or as an independent traveller, but be aware that it is on the other side of the lake and quite a way from the town
