Tui Blue Kalamota Island - Adults Only

Very nice hotel, it was just near the sea so very convenient. Attention to access the island you need to not miss the ferry as there is not that much and you might need to wait a lot for next one.

I have already reviewed TUI BLUE Kalamota resort for my stay in 2022, although we were there a few times more from 2022 ( in 2023 and twice in 2024 ) We know what to expect from the resort, peaceful place to stay, listening to the crickets and enjoying the crystal sea, good staff and food. I read what some guests had written about the food. Well, I did not see cold dish, what should be war had been warm. There are always plenty of choice, so one can really find something. Although we were at the end of August and in July, too this year for few days , so two times ( we live in Dubrovnik ), hotel was fully booked, we hadn't met with the que at cooking station - perhaps we had come earlier for breakfast and dinner. We asked for the room at least at first floor as we are senior citizens and it is hard to climb the stairs so I understand if someone is not happy being in villas which are up. But I am sure TUI inform the guests of the hotel previously, so you can ask for less stairs in advance. The staff all are friendly and helpful. We did not come with TUI arrangement but the kind girl, who works the reservations made reservation for us. The TUI supervisors had been friendly to us, too, last year one really nice Greek young man. We always will be back if there will be rooms available for us!

The big plus for this hotel is the stunning location and the views from restaurant area are amazing. There were always plenty of sun loungers and a snack bar which also served drinks/cocktails at the poolside. Food was ok but very samey and by the end of the week we struggled. There is also a bookable al a carte restaurant situated nearby which if on an all inclusive package you can use once. Amazingly they did not do any organised trips to Dubrovnik old town and pointed us towards the local ferry with a warning that they often cancelled sailings and if so you were on your own (five sailings a day). Things to be aware of: you on a small island with only one tiny local shop, from the mainland you get there on a thirty minute boat trip and the sea can be quite choppy, the rooms are in blocks up a steep slope which is not great for those with walking difficulties

Visited in October. Absolutely stunning location. Rooms were decent and clean enough, but the shower leaked on the floor making us use 3 towels each day just to keep the floor dry. Pool and sea just about warm enough to swim in. Staff, fantastic and attentive. Entertainment very low key. Lots of steps. No warm areas to sit at night. The food is simply not up to standard. It was poor in terms of choice, quality and temperature. The food was almost always tepid to very cold. The puddings were good enough. The a la carte was unfortunately very average. Would visit again but only at the right price and not for a week, as the food just wasn’t good.

I recently stayed at TUI BLUE Kalamota and had a fantastic experience. The location is truly stunning—peaceful and picturesque, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel is well-maintained and blends beautifully with the natural surroundings of the island. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always available to assist with a smile. The food was varied and delicious, with plenty of fresh, local options. We especially enjoyed the themed dinners and the sea-view dining area. Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern, with a lovely balcony that offered amazing sunset views. The beach area was clean and not too crowded, and the pool was great for a quick dip in between excursions. If you're looking for a quiet, adults-only retreat with great service and beautiful scenery, TUI BLUE Kalamota is a great choice. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely return!

Last August I stayed with my fiance at TUI Blue Kalamota and had a wonderful experience. I was especially impressed by the quality of the food and service, as well as the friendliness of the staff. The drinks at all the bars were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. A special mention goes to F&B Manager Nenad, who truly stands out as a great host and a true professional. His presence and attention to detail made a big difference and added a personal touch to our stay. Highly recommended – I hope to return again soon!
