S Cross Munroe Island Resort

We, the elders of the National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC), an R&D centre under the Government of Kerala, come together with our family members once a year after retirement. This year marked the third such gathering. Although Munroe Island is close to Thiruvananthapuram, it was the first visit for most of us. My wife and I made a pilot trip to the islands to find a place where our group could assemble, enjoy a meal, and spend the day engaged in activities we love. I visited two or three places, but S Cross was the one we preferred. The resort was well-kept, tidy, and offered a buffet lunch with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. We made our reservation and arrived with the group on November 9, 2025. Each of us enjoyed the day. We were provided with the banquet hall for assembling. The day package included a welcome drink, the banquet hall for gathering and briefing on the day's activities, a grand lunch, boating to Sambranikudi Island through the backwaters and mangroves, and evening tea to conclude the day at the resort. The boat trip, which lasted about three hours after lunch, was the highlight of the day. The service we received was excellent and supportive. We had to leave by 5 p.m. as a few of our friends had to catch the night flight to Bangalore. Everyone in the group, both young and old, enjoyed the activities and the hospitality of S Cross.
