Sandy Bay Resort

we where again here since 2018. the resort looks exactly like 2018. nothing is maintained, the bungalows are old and i think they don't make it the next few years. room cleaning was only every second day. we where 7 nights there and at the 5th day the stuff asked unmotivated if we wanted to have the room cleaned. an impudence regarding they came only every second day. the beachfront bungalow is placed totally amazing but and the cleaning was made good. but that's all! the stuff manager is totally arrogant, thinks she is the boss of the whole island. wrong place to work in such an environment. stuff is loud and are laughing overloud. as a guest you have the feeling to be just tolerated. stuff manager is a greedy lady which is only gentle if you spend money at the restaurant. she likes it when you let write up the expenses at the restaurant and pay when checking out. be careful not to get tricked. Almost all resorts around had upgraded and renovated theyr resorts.also we recognized that the stuff at the other restaurants/resorts where super super friendly. not and sandy bay, they only want to take your money with minimal services. the day we checked out the cleaning supplies and new towel already where put in front of our bungalow...... was like "go out here, we want to have the next client" if the view from the bungalow to the marvelous beach weren't there we would never come back again.and if we find a similar place at koh Phangan with same beautiful beach and beachfront bungalow we say goodbye. to be fair, the two boys the new younger stuff at there bar are gentle.

Zeer onvriendelijk personeel, heeft geen idee hoe met toeristen om te gaan. Zeker geen Thaise glimlach hier! Het ‘resort’ heeft een hele rommelige ingang en ‘tuin’ als je het zo mag noemen. Kleine vieze huisjes worden niet elke dag schoongemaakt en geen schone handdoeken elke dag. Zeep en shampoo flesjes zijn leeg. Toiletrolhouder viel uit elkaar. Schimmel op de spiegel. Een airco die alleen maar loeikoud kon staan. Enkele plastic stoelen zonder kussens op het strand. Hele harde bedden! Ongezellig restaurant en een oude bar die dicht is. Zwembad had groen water. Kortom ik kan geen enkel positief punt bedenken, behalve dat er leuke andere eetgelegenheden op hetzelfde strandje zijn. We zijn hier na 3 dagen erg teleurgesteld weggegaan en een ontzettend vriendelijk en fijn verblijf met zachte bedden gehad op een ander strand. Sandy Bay bungalow is veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. Daarnaast lijkt het alsof jij blij mag zijn om hier te verblijven in plaats van dat de eigenaar (mevrouw Wan) blij is dat jij er als toerist komt.
